my manual gambler maker broke... so i figured let me try the electric kind. will never go back to the manual. i have not had problems with the tube loosely packing. you need to mess around with the density knob till you get the density you desire. as far as 'grinding' down the tobacco... any machine will do that if your tobacco is dry or as u get down to the end of the bag. i highly recommend this product.

Easy to use. Very fast. But very noisy. Built in hopper means you dont worry about pushing tobbaco into a loading trough. Machine does everything for you. Great buy if you don't mind the noise.

Just got it, made half dozen before I got it adjusted. Much easier on my carpeltunnel syndrone!
Wish the instructions had more hints on how to make it. I did put a lid over the hopper to keep the contents inside while working. Yes it's noisy, but the savings make that a no big deal. Already told a friend about it, he said he was going to buy one on my say so. The price for this one even with shipping is a little less than if I bought it locally.
