This item is not the one pictured. I specifically ordered it because the cord in the image is round and looks nice. The one I received has a standard cheep looking grooved lamp cord. This might get the job done, but it looks budget. I didn't buy it for the price I bought it because the picture was the one that I wanted. Now I have to keep shopping. Waste of time, cost and shipping.

My Husband and I bought some star shaped paper lanterns without realizing they do not come with an electric cord. Disappointed after a trip to home depot where they did not seem to know what we were talking about, we did an online search. We couldn't be happier with what we found. The cord is long and durable. The kit included everything you need to hang the lights and it was very easy to do.

These cords worked great with my paper lanterns. Good quality and the switches are well placed to be reachable after you've hung the lanterns. Arrived on time.

This is a terrible design. There is no switch to turn the light on or off. You have to plug it and unplug it from the wall. As soon as I opened the package I returned it. Who would design a cord with no switch???

This order sucked as it cost me extra time and money. The lamp cord Lucca sent didn't have a cylindrical sleeve like in the picture - instead it was the ordinary flat double conductor with a slit. When I claimed wrong item I received a prompt reply but without any offer to send the correct item and without the return address so I had to ask for it again. The refund was also fast but insufficient as they failed to do the math and add the cost of shipping.

I ordered two. The ones I got had the nice round cord, not the budget cord with the groove in the center. they work well. The socket is white, not black as pictured. Reading other reviews it seems there are different models being shipped out. There is no switch on the ones I ordered, but I didn't need a switch.

This listing is deceptive and the product is not as pictured, amazon should remove this listing. I hope everyone spends their money elsewhere.

This is definitely the best light fixture on the market right now. Although it does say it is only to be used with paper lanterns, it can be used with many other decorative lamps and shades, when using common sense. With paper shades it is not recommended to use a light bulb of power higher than 60W. I used the same one with two homemade pendant light shades, and it works perfectly. The cord has a switch and also two sliding hooks, which can be used to hang the cord up rather than having it hang off your ceiling. The length is great as well. Most of the products that I have compared this item to had varied from 6-8 ft. at most. It's a great product for the money. Would highly recommend.

I purchased several light kits to use in chinese lanterns which we hung in a tent for a wedding reception. They are very simple to use and provided plenty of light after dark. They were delivered on time.

The product is not bad, but I didn't expect to be paying so much (more than twice the price from IKEA once you include the high shipping price) for a repackaged product. These are the IKEA Hemma cord sets, and I suggest that if you can afford to go to IKEA, safe yourself some money and do so. For us, the time for IKEA costs more than the shipping for these cords, so we have decided not to return them. But still. Not what I was led to think the product was.
