Extra Extra,
By Jamie Curry (ARMY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Electric: Extra Volts (Audio CD)
I loved Electric, so when Jack released Extra Volts I just had to have it. I had to buy a second copy cuz I beat up the first one with playing it so much.
I've said it before but it bears repeating - Jack Ingram is an awesome songwriter and an amazing singer. I love the whole EP but I especially enjoy "Run to Me" and "Red, White, and Blues." If you like GOOD, quality music then you need to buy Extra Volts. Trust me.
Jack is STILL the best.

Ingram's best work in years,
By DJ Joe Sixpack (...in Middle America) - See all my reviews (TOP 500 REVIEWER) (HALL OF FAME REVIEWER)
This review is from: Electric: Extra Volts (Audio CD)
When Jack Ingram hit the scene in the mid-1990s, I was really taken by the true-sounding, hard country approach on his debut album, then was sorely disappointed by his subsequent releases, which were disappointingly loud and muscle-headed.This EP is a belated, but much-welcomed addendum to Ingram's somewhat clunky album, the aptly-titled, blaringly guitar-heavy "Electric" of the preceding year. This 5-song outing features several suprisingly resonant gems, particularly the laconic Fourth of July ditty, "Red White And Blues," which casts a disaffected eye towards all our current patriotic hoopla, the witty, cynical "She Don't Love You," and the pleasantly quiet, I'll-be-there romantic ballad, "Run To Me." Even the opening track, "A Little Bit," with its strong melodic rock base, is more subtle and interesting than most of the material on the album this disc accompanies. Recommended... it's just a shame he was as thoughtful and interesting on the full-length.

Hey Record Co....What the HELL!,
By Chad Rozelle (TEXAS) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Electric: Extra Volts (Audio CD)
If you are already a fan, you will love this 5 track addition to the already released, ELECTRIC. I have heard this album was (is) an attempt to 'get back' at the record company for dropping him? If so, way to go! These damn record company's are always trying to string and mold artists anyway they can and Jack keeps proving that it's about quality not quantity.
