4.0 out of 5 stars battery operated torch
These torches were perfect for an indoor luau. I put them inside 6ft. poles to make for a dramatic entrance way with green/grass carpet going down the center

2.0 out of 5 stars Great as a theater effect more than a toy
We purchased four of these torchs as a theatre effect. The look pretty good and a very good value for what we are using it for. As for the toy itself, it is so-so. The power switch only turns off the light and not the fan. To turn off the fan, you need to unscrew the unit so the battery does not make contact. Again, thats OK for theatre but not as a toy.

2.0 out of 5 stars Too Loud!, November 17, 2008

I bought the torches to use in a play. They look really neat and would be great if they were not so LOUD! The fan makes so much noise that I am not sure we will be able to use them. I am going to try b/c the effect would be awesome.

Pay no attention to the photo shopped flame in the picture. I'm glad I only bought one of these to see what they really looked like before purchasing ten. It looks like a bronzed out flashlight with one sad single triangle that waves. Also the fan is really noisy. Not happy with the product at all. It belongs at the 99 cent store.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not a toy, June 27, 2009

I purchased two of these battery operated table torch lights to use at my church. I would not consider them a toy as it would be very easy to pull the silk off the base. They are very realistic in appearance, especially from a distance but they are LOUD. The battery operated fan is very noisy and there is no way to muffle the sound. But a good deal for the price for the use that I wanted.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't plan on using it for too long., September 11, 2011

The package arrived to us in shambles, so I was relieved when it was still in one piece. It never lit up, so we had to buy a new bulb and then the silk "fire" unstuck itself so we had to glue it back on. It's noisy and does not even look like the picture.
