I've had this guitar for exactly a month now. I am 17 years old and was interested in getting a cheap yet good guitar to learn to play.

The Good:
As far as a starter goes, this kit is everything you need. The guitar is nice and it comes with a nice bag for transportation, the chart, and of course a few picks.

The Okay:
I was expecting the CD included to be a CD-ROM or a DVD instruction, however, it is just a music CD with a few audio tracks (the notes are shown in certain parts of the booklet. Also, the amp is very generic. I realize this is a starter kit, but it is still very basic. It has 3 knobs: volume, bass, and treble. It works well but I wish it has a few more effects. My friend got a different starter kit in which the amp at least had 'gain' to give it variety.

The Bad:
Nothing bad here, overall a pretty good product for those who want to learn how to play guitar.

I know nothing about guitars, but I bought this for my husband for his birthday for a starter and it is well worth its price. I looked at other starters and this is by far a great buy. I wish it had something other than a pitch pipe though. The guitar looks nice, not cheap like the "first act" starter guitars I have looked at. Seems to sell for alot cheaper on Amazon than other online stores, so with the free shipping, I think it was a great deal.

I got this for my ten year old, since she's taking guitar lessons just recently. I didn't want to spend much money 'cause she gets bored pretty quickly, so I decided to go for this product and to be honest, I know nothing about electric guitars but it sounds terrific, She's very enthusiastic with it and the teacher says it's exactly what she needed. It's a very popular model for beginners and even grown ups. i will highly recommend it.

I was a little surprised after reading the great reviews to recieve a product that wasn't even usable. The frets on the neck of the guitar stuck out and literally cut the skin on my fingers. Very poor workmanship on this guitar. Maybe I just got a bad one. I do have to say though, the return procedure was a dream. It came with a return pre-paid sticker, and the other information I needed to return was easily found on the website. I packed it up, dropped it off at the UPS store, and got my refund less than a week later. I guess it's worth the chance that you might get a good product if it's that easy to return!

This is my first guitar and I am very happy with the quality of it and the book included is very informative and easy for any beginner to comprehend. The CD it brings is very helpful for learning how to tune your guitar, practice riffs, and can be done after practicing for a week or more. The amp is good for a 10 watt amp. Overall, it's a great buy for anyone who wants to start learning the basics and the guitar itself looks sleek and feels amazingly smooth to play, since it has a maplewood fretboard. High quality, beginner-friendly, looks great and smooth, I recommend this to anyone willing to learn to play the guitar.

This set literally gives you everything you need to begin playing. What more could you ask for as a beginner!! Especially useful, is the chord chart, it's like a one-stop-shop for all beginning players!!!

I bought this for myself, finally deciding it was about time I learned how to play guitar, since I have wanted to since I was a kid. The Guitar is nice, strings are a little on the hard side to push down. I went to my local guitar center and tried some of theirs and they were much easier, but also 3 times or more higher in price. I will stick with this one until I think I am good enough to invest in a more expensive brand guitar. The Bag was good, not as padded as I would have hoped, but still nice. The Amp is Great, it sounds good, for a mini amp and is easy to carry with the handle built in, and since it's a mini amp it is very light. The cord & picks are OK, I picked up some different kinds at the guitar center to try different kinds and they are just as good as any I bought. The tuner leaves something to be desired, so I purchased a new one. The book is Good, not as easy as I would have thought to follow but not to bad. Overall I would definitely recommend this kit for some one wanting to learn like I am.

When I got this guitar I didn't know any thing about guitars. With in a couple days, i learned from the great in structions to start playing simple songs. Its great for starters and anyone who wants to play the guitar.

This was my first guitar- which was probably a mistake on my part. When I first purchased it, I didn't know how to play at all. Tuning was very difficult on the cheap strings that came already on the guitar. However, after taking guitar classes (on an acoustic), I now love both my guitars and find much more ease in playing this item than before. Overall, I love the guitar, but I wouldn't recommend it to someone with absolutely no guitar experience.

I bought this guitar for my 9 year old kid. Her teacher told me that this gutar is not fully finished. something about the dressing (really dont know exactly what it is) but now i have to take it to a shop to get it "refinished" because my daughter's fingers were fully cut!!!! The teacher's fingers too! Not all music shop places do that specific finish, so i guess i'm stuck as I threw away the box.
Dont buy this product unless u know how to repair guitars!
