A "Perfect" Heavy Metal album!,

Five stars ain't enough! Tenebre's fourth CD is a masturpiece! An excellent blend of atmospheric Goth and mellodic Black Metal there NO wasted tracks here! Even the unplugged ballad "she dark the sun" is a highpoint. I'd be hardpressed to pick a best song but that would be either "at the mountain" or "starlet wolverien" (with incredibly SICK lyrics!).
Even though they're not easily availible Stateside (even via Amazon Marketplace) Tenebre's first two CDs are worth seaking out. "13" (1996) is like a rougher version of Danzig and early 69 Eyes. That album is worth it for its cover of Charlie Manson's "no wrong, come along"! Their second (and second best) "Grim Ride" (98) continues in that vain but with more solid material. Goto GEMM.com if you want to obtain those. TENEBRE are the best metal band Americans are NOT listening to! |
