3.0 out of 5 stars Technical, May 3, 2011
This review is from: The Electric Kiln (Ceramics Handbooks) (Paperback)
This book has a lot of technical description, but not a lot of "how to". Not for the weekend crafter. I thought it would explain a lot more how to actually fire and get the most out of my kiln. I was dissappointed it did not. Too much technical info. I'm not repairing or building a kiln, just wanted to know how to use it.

This book is exactly what I needed to maintain and repair (and perhaps even build one) my kiln. I most heartily encourage anyone wanting to understand and work with an electric kiln to not hesitate in purchasing this book.

Having a brand new electric kiln and having a minimal knowledge of how they work, The Electric Kiln (Ceramics Handbook) is just what the doctor ordered. I still haven't fired anything in the kiln yet, but I will. Thanks to the person who sent it. It arrived in a timely manner and was as good as brand new. 250 Tips, Techniques, and Trade Secrets for Potters: The Indispensable Compendium of Essential Knowledge and Troubleshooting Tips
