Materials required, such as 1.5 volt batteries, wire, motors, and lightbulbs, are listed with each activity and are readily available at hardware stores. Projects include making battery connections and switches, and then building gadgets such as electric dice, a noisemaker, a back scratcher, and a bumper car. The skills developed lead up to the final project, a robotic hand. Similar in format to Bartholomew's Electric Gadgets and Gizmos (Kids Can, 1998), this new title will be useful for science projects. Dimensions are given in both metric units as well as inches.

I'm a homeschool mom and so I'm always looking for activities for the kids. This series it good. Simple enough for kids, but has plenty to do for a day of activities.
