Please just a moment of your time while I explain: I lost my sister on 9/24 of this year. She was a great inspiration to me in many ways, but especially musically. She turned me on to Bad Company at an early age & Rodgers has always been my favorite rock vocalist. I received this in the mail the week that my sister passed away and only got to listen to it when I returned from Montreal where she died. I have shed many a tear listening to this CD; not just for the memories it has prompted but for its overall beauty. The depth & atmosphere of "Over You" with its flute and sing-along chorus, the mournful anthem of "Freedom", the bouncy tease of "Walking Tall"; "Jasmine Flower", "Drifters", "Find A Way", "Conquistadora" are all reasons why I love Paul Rodgers & why he is a legend & still performing today & quite magnificently so as evidenced by the recent Bad Company reunion tour in which he was CLEARLY the star! His sense of melody and that SOUL in his voice is why I love him. I suppose I shall always remember this album in a melancholy way and always wish I could've shared it with Kim; she would be proud. God Bless you Kimby & Paul. Love, Ste' Bo'

5.0 out of 5 stars Rock 'N' Blues Masterpiece, March 4, 2001

Thank God not all older rock & rollers sell out and attempt to sing the type of music that happens to be on the charts for that month. This Paul Rodgers outing is a breath of rock & roll fresh air. Unlike some in his league, Paul's voice is like fine wine - it has become better with age - and so has his musicianship and lyrical quality. I will be playing this one over and over again, along with all of my old Bad Company CDs. Paul has still got one of the greatest voices in rock & roll recorded history. He sings from the soul with fire, sensuality, love, hope, and passion.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Man is Back!, November 18, 2004

What a comeback by the Great Man.Nice thumpin' intro then,China Blue, a powerful ballad.Over You & Drifters are 2 steady rockers but Freedom is my Fave song off this album - classic
Rodgers Blues/Ballad a la Bad Company era. Saw him touring this
album in Australia,2001. Best voice in Blues/Rock & this is a
neat collection of new material - Better than 1997's "Now" set.
