We have really enjoyed this boat. It goes fast, and the price was extremely reasonable. I have 2 recommendations: 1. go ahead and buy an additional battery for the boat. The battery life is short (15-30 min). If you buy another one and charge it up, you can pop that one in when the first one runs out and play for almost an hour. 2. Don't drive this boat in a body of water that you cannot swim in! If it gets out of range of the remote control you have to go in after it. Also, if the battery dies while you are out at sea you will have to go in after it. Other than that, we were extremely happy with the size, weight, and look of the boat, as well as the performance.

This little boat would be a lot more fun if it were easier for children to turn it on and have the battery last longer.
The instructions were comical for the adults, not sure what language they started out in, but the movie "Lost In Translation" came to mind as soon as I read a few lines.
We were seriously laughing out loud at the instructions.
I hope that in the future, companies that are making products to be sold in the US have to be able to supply the consumer with information that is actually written in proper English.
I have my doubts as to how durable this toy is, and didn't realize it wasn't to be used for more than 15 minutes at a time?
Guess it will be great for kids with short attention spans?

The first time the kids played with the boat, they loved it. The 2nd day after recharging the battery we had problems. The left propeller would not turn off when I pluged in the battery. The right propeller would never turn on, even in the water. And they would not pay for return postage.....so this will be the last time I buy something off Amazon.

I'm happy with this first RC boat. I rated it several 4's only because it is plastic and one needs to handle it with care. My grand son had received another design from his uncle and as a grand dad I had been looking to get him one to, more so we could both try out our boats on a pond. Unfortunately, though I discovered his uncles boat and this one had the same frequency and each control would work the other boat as well. Alone, they were just fine.
Pros:
*Easy access to the battery compartment.
*Stays dry but I wouldn't suggest trying to submarine the thing.
*Shaft seals are water tight.
*Battery life is pretty good. These, generally, only last about 15 minutes.
*Range is impressive.
*Speed? Well, my grandson commented he thought mine was faster than his, but it gets right along and I was satisfied.
*Control? Pretty simple, really. Easy to learn and for the price? They worked fine for us.
*Two props.
*Battery will stay in place and easy to change out.

Cons:
*Frequency-non adjustable. This is the biggest fault for these lower priced RC boats. If they could have the ability to change a channel, that would make these much more fun to operate. Once we realized my controls and his controls were over-riding to the other boat we had to park one. That's the only bummer about these.
*Props are kinda exposed and in transporting this one, it does have a stand included, you'll have to keep in mind these could easily be damaged.
*Props are plastic, so not unlike any prop, No running through the sand or gravel is recommended.I had to work with my grandson on this one. To get him to push it off shore before he hit the throttle.

Other than that. I'd recommend this boat. I studied a lot of reviews for boats in this price range and IMO this one scored pretty well.

WARNING: JUNK, JUNK, JUNK, JUNK, JUNK, SELLER seems to be reselling faulty returned merchaandise. Amazon should be ashamed to sell this garbage. Boat arrived with a green frequency crystal in the boat and a red frequency crystal in the remote. Totally useless. No hobbie shops sell the replacement crystals nor will they work on it. I tried to pay someone to make it work, but no one has parts or time for trash. Remote looks used with rusted battery terminal springs and dirt and evidence of moisture damaage to the remote right out the box.
I'm affraid that if I return it, Amazon and seller will sell it again, and again, and again and make profit off every defective sale. Labor Day is upon us and I'm stuck with screwed up products and disappointed kids. Amazon will only refund. I also have 2 spare batteries that I ordered to accompany this purchase and hope I can return. Now, to mention the second identical sister boat, purchased at the same time. It runs eratic and in momentary spurts whenever you bump the remote. Never again. CONSUMERS BEWARE......

I don't really think that this boat is worth buying. I spent $41 on it and one of the motors stopped working on it. The other just keeps constantly spinning and won't respond to the remote. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY LIKE I DID!

It took three weeks to receive the boat when it was supposed to be here July 5th and didn't receive it until July 15th! We charged the battery for the required time, put brand new batteries in the remote. It ran beautifully for 15 minutes and died. We recharged the battery and it hasn't ran since. My daughter is so disappointed! I will be returning it in hopes of getting a replacement that works! I will say that it was so amazing for the minutes it ran.

The instuctions were horrible. There was not a number to contact the manufacturer. I would have preferred to have the item replaced with one that worked but the only action given to me was to ship it back and get a refund. I am very displeased with this purchase.

It was easy to operate and my grandsons enjoyed it. They were the envy of all the kids at the pool

This boat is fun. I take it to the river while im at a beach and chase wildlife around. lol
