My husband smokes but not inside the house. We set up the new electric lamps on the lani and not only are they a great heat source but provide a great source of light. We live in the Florida panhandle and the temp has gotten down in the low 20's a couple of times at night. My husband is considerate enough to not sink up the house with smoke and is able to stay comfortable through these cold day's of winter. Surprisingly I didn't see a great jump in my electric bill but we keep our thermostate set low in the winter to conserve. Hope this was helpful

Item was clearly used. both the base and top of the unit had numerous scratches and scuff marks. In addition, the power cord had a 4 inch strip of a sticky white paint substance that I could not identify. The seller (TFN Nutrition) believes the item was damaged in the shipping but I explained that the items that were scratched were all covered so they couldn't have been scratched in the shipment. The only explanation I can come up with is that this item was secondhand. If the item were new and unused, I would recommend it. The top was wider than I expected and it'd not very tall. Other than that - I like the concept and the price was right.

I give this product only 4 stars JUST because it is HUGE! (on the floor it comes up to my waist) I wasn't expecting the shear size that it was - lets just say "table top" is a bit of a misnomer because you need a really really big table! Other than that, this item has worked to the stated expectations. It doesn't do large spaces well and does work better when there is some protection from the wind and such BUT it has been very very useful on mornings when the weather has dropped to very chilly numbers! I don't have to look like the michelin tire man anymore with bundles of clothes and blankets wrapped around me like last year! (the laugh of the neighborhood!! LOL) I use it almost every morning and most evenings since I purchased it over a month ago. The brightness is ok because I can sit out at night and read by it rather than the overhead light on my porch - heat and light, energy savings there! WOuld recommend it and have had numerous comments on it by others in the complex. Not bad for a decent price too!
