Every track is awesome!,

I loved every track on this CD. Especially the Ganymede track and the Subversion song. Subversion has a great Human Legaue kind of sound. The NASA single is very good too, very light, breezy pop that plays on The Beatles "Yesterday" song. Nukleon is cool too, he has a really great voice- as does the guy in Plastic Orgasm People (although his voice takes a moment to get used too). The last track is a mind blowing 20 minute opus deluxe- more prog rock than synthpop, but very cool anyway. If you want a CD that will make you get up and dance around your house/car/where ever, this is the one to get. IMHO!

Comments from one of the artists...,

Hi there...hey this is Dan from NukleoN. Just wanted to say that this CD features some excellent artists. It seems SynthPop is rare these days, so CD's like this are a refreshing change. If you're tired of the same old thing, or just want a fresh injection of quality synthpop at a bargain basement price, then check out this sampler CD. ;) Dan of NukleoN ...

A Contemporary Spin on the Synthpop Sound,

Unlike some samplers, this CD is quite even and consistent throughout. The artists featured on the CD are prime examples of current musicians updating sounds made popular during the 80s. Why not 5 stars? The only thing holding the compilation back is that because the musicians are independent artists without major label support, the production is a bit rough in places. But overall, the songs win out on what is ultimately more than just a blast from the past.

I bought this sampler because I knew 2 songs on it from a sampler I received from my favorite record label, a Different Drum. I also read the other 2 reviews that were posted and they were right on target! This is a great selection of songs from bands you would not have heard of before, but will be glad you discovered them, just like me! These are songs that are catchy and danceable and very 80's sounding! If you like light synthpop, you'll love these songs. I want to buy albums from some of these bands if they have any! I really like "Nexterday" by NASA which is the song I already knew and this was early on in the cd, but if you get further along, the songs just keep getting better! " A Little Confession" is such a catchy song! Buy this and you'll be singing along. It's on in my car right now. Great music to drive to! I drove to Orlando, Florida from Chicago listening to synthpop from some of these artists all the way! It made the drive so great!

ELECTRONIC POP SAMPLER INDEED,

The first thing I noticed was that none of the 14 singers with (the exception of FREEZEPOP)have good voices, in fact they are quite bad. I felt that there is nothing new or fresh for me in this cd, plenty of Depeche Mode, Erasure, Soft Cell, Human League & High Energy sound and bites to all of the songs, but, then again... nothing really good or that stands out other than FREEZEPOP, SILICON 39, NASA ( so remind me of LEVEL 42) and the best track " EVERYTHING I THOUGH I HAD TO BE " by COLOR THEORY are the only highlights of the CD. Great as a sampler, but, would really doubt if I will purchase any or the artist individually in this CD other than the highlights I mentioned.

I got bored and disappointed with these mid-90's tracks of cheesy SynthPop.I bought Ladytron along with this. Ladytron rules, Electricity failed to spark any emotions :-/ Cheers Pat
