4.0 out of 5 stars Fun and Educational - Recommended, December 10, 2008
This review is from: Electricity: Real Science Made Easy (Spiral-bound)
My son received the "Real Science Made Easy - Electricity" set when he was 10 (two years ago) and has used it fairly often. The 4 out of 5 star rating above is his, but I concur that this is fairly good starter set for teaching the basics of electricity (I have an Electronics Engineering degree).

This kit is a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to the contents. Some of the components are really good and some are just so so. The most important thing, the Instruction/project manual is very good, well made, and contains very clear illustrated diagrams. The 25 experiments and 16 activities are well thought out and build on each other in increasing complexity.

My son has learned a good bit from this set and does have a grasp of the concepts. More importantly, two years on, he still uses the set and enjoys building his own circuits.
