Product Description

The Bass Micro Synthesizer has the same feature set as the Micro Synthesizer, but includes a trigger and filter sweep range especially tailored for bass guitar. The same fat analog synth textures give your bass a whole new range of possibilities: from percussive stabs to backwards-sounding bowed sounds.

I've tried all bass synth pedals and this one is the best! Fantastic fat moog-type sounding effects.

It tracks notes beautifully too, unlike others that can be a bit sloppy catching the notes off your bass.

You will have a lot of fun with this little winner! Think of the bass sounds in the songs 'Lets Groove' by Earth Wind & Fire and 'Jive Talkin' by the Bee Gees and you'll get an idea of the type of sound it produces - that fat analogue Moogish-type synth bass effect.

Check out the Electro Harmonix website YouTube links too to get a better idea.

The one thing that would make this bass fx nirvana would be the ability to store program pre-sets - even just maybe 3 would be great, but then it would probably be bigger and cost a lot more.

I REALLY like the fact that it incorporates faders too, instead of knobs - makes adjustments easier and quicker, and you can see instantly your settings (especially on a dimly lit stage).

Construction is well thought-out and rugged - the switch feels sturdy and solid.

This has the potential to be a very cool pedal, but not until the gate closing issue is fixed. The first one of these I ordered was DOA, just did not light up or work period. The second one worked as it should and was capable of some great sounds and filter sweep efx, however, the gate just closes after a few seconds and kills the output entirely, it doesn't matter if you are using the guitar, sub-octave, octave or square wave, it will not sustain a note, just cuts it off. In other words you can't just finger vibrato to sustain a note through a slow filter sweep because it just gets cut off randomly. Frustrating. My advice is to avoid this pedal unless you have a compressor pedal to put in front of it, or don't have any need for sustained notes.

...and that reason is, they're FREAKIN AMAZING! The range of sounds this pedal is capable of is unrivaled. Sure, they're spendy....but it's well worth it.

I just got done playing my first gig with this pedal - not only did it blow me away, the band raved about it too. Using this on some Stevie Wonder songs really kicked it up a few notches.
