This is a very beautiful analog chorus. Just turn the dial and flip the switch and you're off. As far as effects go, analog makes a huge difference. If you're used to digital chorus, phaser, etc., it's like night and day. Plus it's got the classic EHX chassis mojo goin' on.

Cons- Optimal usage is achieved through 9V battery, though it is power supply adaptable with a somewhat unusual 1/8" mini-jack type cable that you have to buy separately. If you use the battery, you will have to unplug the input jack when it's not in use to prevent battery drain. Bummer.

-For pedalboard usage, you will have to remove the battery clip screw which sticks out and replace it with tape in order for it to sit flat on the board. Like all EHX pedals, you will also have to peel off those little rubber feet that come standard.

Overall the sound quality far outweighs the cons on this guy. Recommended.

This is one of the best and most versatile Chorus Pedals i've ever tried. You can go from a warm and clean chorus like Eric Johnson's (well... almost... no one like him and his sound) to a hot and dinamic sound like Kurt Cobain's on Come as you Are just by activating the DEPTH switch. Its controls are very simple... just the ON/OFF button, The RATE control and the DEPTH Switch, but... trust me... you can do a lot of things with this pedal and a nice tube amp

I have played and owned many chorus pedals, and this one takes the cake.It is much richer and deeper than other chorus pedals far more expensive than this one.You might be thinking it looks to simple, but that's the beauty of it. It is very easy to use, especially on stage.Anything by EHX is great, and this is one of their best tone and price wise.Totally worth getting.

I play a Eric Clapton Stratocaster through a 1970 Fender Super Reverb. The addition of the Small Clone was, "WOW!!!" It is very warm and has a classic charm about it. If you are trying to emulate that clean "Clapton" chorus sound of the eighties, this will serve you well. I have one complaint though. My Small Clone had several scratches on it when I got it. I bought a pair of shoes from Amazon and the same thing happened recently.

you have to buy this pedal if your a tone whore like me you will love it, it has such a warm rich juicy analog tone built like a tank so simple to use the perfect amount of chorus a must have in my opinion I pity the foo who use digital!

I have used this pedal for quite some time. Its a fairly simple phaser pedal with one knob and one switch. You get a really great range of phase though. Listen to "Plume" by Smashing Pumpkins to hear it in action on the solo part. I also believe its the phaser used on the Dinosaur Jr song "Freak Scene"
