This Electrolux does a fine job of routine cleaning of both low-pile carpet and bare floors for me. When the beater brush is engaged, it does get a bit noisy, but it's nothing too worrying. The attachments don't stay in their storage areas very well, but do a fine job when in use. It moves very well around the floor and the rounded design with its rubber bumper is very wall and furniture friendly.

Love the vacuum cleaner and am amazed at how much the bags hold, and how they really do cut down on any dust created while vacuuming. And I say this as someone who lives in the Sierra Mountains of California in cattle and horse country where we get alot of dust and dirt. Have used the vacuum almost daily and have never had one problem with the machine in the year I have had it. Had a Dirt Devil and a Kirby before this one and think this is the best machine I have ever had, and I am a picky buyer

This is a great little vacuum, very quiet and efficient. It moves around easily and has that same Electrolux quality power to clean. We replaced a 30 or 40 year old model with it and I like it better. A canister with a bag is still the best way to go, no messy "bagless" dirt flying around when you have to empty it.

It's a great deal on this little vacuum. Vacuum was refurbished and obviously used before but everything was OK! Great customer service from CPO Electrolux

I purchased an Electrolux vacuum thinking it would be a superior product. It did a great job before it stopped working. It has now been in the repair shop for over two months with no clear date of when it will be repaired. Basically the warrenty from Electrolux is useless if this is your only vacuum cleaner. CPO Electrolux passed the buck to Electrolux when I complained. Electrolux blaimed the local repair shop and the local repair shop just doesn't care.

When it came time for me to buy a vacuum cleaner, there was no question as to which brand I should buy. You buy an Electrolux vacuum once, and you have it for life - maybe longer. I'm not going to inherit my grandparents Electrolux anytime soon, or my parents, so I had to buy my own. That said, I guess I will need to take it into consideration when I write my will. This new Electrolux continues the quality of previous models, with a few improvements. It's much lighter, and quieter, but, amazingly, just as powerful. You can actually carry it around as you vacuum, if you so desire, it is light enough. The only downside is that I will never have the opportunity or need to buy another vacuum again.

This is a great looking unit, unfortunatel the first one we received caught fire in 5 minutes, the replacement died after a week and we are awaiting our final replacment. If this fails we will get our money back! Supplier has been good to work with on replacements.

Do not buy! Extremely low quality parts, and very expensive to repair!

The carpet attachment for this vacuum cleaner keeps breaking. The first time it happened, it cost me $60 to repair. Now, less then a year later, the same part broke again. In addition, other little pieces and attachments started breaking down almost as soon as I got it.

This time I'm taking this thing down to the garbage, and getting another vacuum cleaner! I'm done with Electrolux brand!

read before you buy...i normally do not write reviews, but i feal obligated to on this item, i read all the bad reviews about this item, but after trying a freinds electrolux, was sold on it... the features are great...great suction...when it doesnt break, we do not use this heavilly and have returned 3 of them due to malfunctions in less than a month. i understand its a refurb, but two of our three were horrible, excessive noise, and both quit working after a week. our current one has been working now for a month (record) and if it stops, im throwing it out the window. the only reason for one star is that electrolux CPO customer service was great, sent us new ones very quickly and didnt hassle us. next time i'll follow reviewers advice!

I have had my vacuum a little over a year. I love lots of things about it, but have had a lot of problems with it. I really researched before having bought this, and thought I was getting a good product, but I was wrong. Within the 1st month, I had an issue with the power cord. It took over a month (and a 1 hour drive to the "authorized repair" shop each way) before it was fixed, and now, little over a year, it is not working AT ALL. Definitely something electronic. I tried contacting customer service with no response. I am extremely unhappy. We spent over $400 on this vacuum and to only have it last 1 year is deplorable. Also, the bags ARE small, they dont hold much, and are expensive to replace. If this were a true quality product with a little more than 1 year warranty and customer service that would back up the product, I would recommend it, but as is, I would not recommend to anyone, unless you are willing to risk several hundred dollars, and then more in repair bills after your 1 year warranty is up.
