I have had constant problems with the front right burner, it takes some time to get it lit and then it just blow up to go on.
Cassandra Steiger
There is no easy way to fix this because the bottom is held on with screws that can't be removed.

Just got this range at the end of Feb 11, and it took a couple weeks to get it installed in the house. The impact this range has had over our stock Whirlpool flat top electrical range I bought with the house almost two years ago, was significant. My wife was won over by the "Bread Proofing" function and a couple visits to local stores for comparisons to other models under consideration (GE, SAMSUNG, LG, BOSCH). Anyway, the ease of cooking with this range is much greater than we would have imagined in a couple short months. A few pros, two small cons, and a small warning are all I have to say about this excellent range.

Pros:

1) Easy to clean up. However if you let any food items get on the recessed cook top surface below the grill, your cleanup will be that much harder. Seems obvious, but I have a teenager in the house. The oven surface is also easy to keep up on.

2) Easy glide racks. I slowly worked on the wife for two years about easy glide racks being a major selling point. Every day use has made my case for this seemingly minor feature by significant labor saving feature.

3) Wave touch controls. My wife who does all the baking in the house loves these more than she ever would have realized until she sat down and read the instruction manual. Staged baking programming has made her a believer.

4) Gas cooking. I've never liked electrical coils, and using the range top has made cooking enjoyable if not fun.

5) Looks great with the understated control panel idle and when it is being used. All cooking information is visible and easy to comprehend.

6) Internal lighting with the shiny blue interior helps you see everything.

We got this unit as a pair with an Electrolux dishwasher, which I've also reviewed, and has been nothing but trouble. This is a beautiful range with a lot of nice features. It is all electronically controlled, has convection, the sliding racks are great, and it feels well built. But it has one of the silliest design flaws, which I cannot believe was not detected by the engineers. The racks above the burners, the small removable rings around the burners, and the topmost part of the burners are cast iron. They look great when they are new, but once you start cleaning the unit, they rust, discoloring them and leaving rust stains on the stainless steel which you cannot get out. Its very similar to a cast iron pan which has rusted. I cannot believe that something else could not have been used. I've used many gas stoves, cleaning all of them the same way, and never encountered such an issue. Its really odd. Additionally, the largest burner which is hollowed out and encloses a small pilot inside, doesn't light well. Essentially you have to run gas into it for a few seconds, filling the hollow portion with gas, before engaging the electronic igniter. The result is that when it lights, there is a large "poof" of flame which jumps out at you. My wife won't even use this burner. So, overall its a nice unit, but these silly flaws seriously detract from it. I wouldn't buy it again.

We have this stove for several months now. Purchased it based on Consumer Reports review and prior experience with Electrolux's OUTSTANDING commitment to customer service. We do NOT do a lot of cooking, so this stove is overkill for our needs....but it looks pretty.

LIKES:
Lot's of great features and great looks with the wave touch control panel that looks like it came out of a Star Trek episode. MANY cooking options with multiple timers, fast pre-heat, perfect Turkey (going to try for Thanksgiving), multiple stage and convection. More than I'll ever use for sure. Attractive front door design and solid quality cast iron grates.

Haven't used it more than a few dozen times but seems to cook well and evenly. Inside is well lit with theater lighting. Luxury Racks extend all the way out for easy access to food. 3 Shelves in the main oven can really cook a feast. Doors stay put in whatever position you leave it. I haven't used the bottom oven yet as I mostly use it for storing baking pans. Will likely load it up this coming holiday season. Broiler works well als.

DISLIKES:
The front-right "Precise Simmer" burner is difficult to light! Every review of this stove indicates the same thing. Remaining 4 burners light instantly. The special simmer burner clicks, clicks, clicks away while the gas fumes out of the burner. After another start, the gas ignites in a puff of flames that blow out under whatever pot you may have there. Happens all the time, every time and for most users who have reviewed this oven online. I've yet to figure out the magic way to light this burner on the first attempt.

Easily Scratches. The cast iron grates scratch the stainless steel stove top WAY too easily. The slightest slide of a grate scratches!

The range is very attractive, but it has some problems:

1) The metal frame around the display is stuck on with double-sided tape, and the tape is coming off. There is no easy way to fix this because the bottom is held on with screws that can't be removed.

2) The largest burner takes several seconds to ignite and then shoots out a big flame when it finally lights. Other reviewers have mentioned this, so I think it is a design flaw.

3) The stainless steel top is hard to keep clean, so a black top would have been better.

4) The slide-out oven racks are very thick, making it difficult to use two racks and still have enough room for food.

5) The bottom oven can only accommodate items less than 2.5 inches high.

6) The knobs get very hot when the oven is on for a long time.

7) The switch stopped working that tells the oven whether the racks are inserted. The racks have to be removed to run the self-clean cycle. Since the switch does not work, the oven thinks the racks are still in and the self clean cycle won't start.

8) One of the springs got bent on the sliding rack. It made the rack very hard to remove, but I was able to get it bent back successfully (quite tricky to do).

9) According to the manual, the racks cannot take the heat of the self cleaning. They need to be cleaned by hand, and this is difficult to do.

Overall, the engineering of this oven is not great.
