Until recently, Bejeweled 2 has been great, providing hours of fun for all my family members. We recently upgraded 5 family plan phones to Samsung Galaxy S3's on Sprint. Bejeweled Ran perfectly on ICS 4.0.X.

2 family members here have accepted the OTA firmware upgrade to JelleyBean 4.1.1, and have lost the ability to play this game. The gfx are garbled the first time it's ran, then only shows dark blue screen on subsequent loads. I sure hope EA fixes this problem quickly before my sisters drive me completely nuts.

Used to love this game, suddenly the screen loads blue or graphics are all disjointed. I have uninstalled & reinstalled several times. WTHeck? I've got a Galaxy 3s. I sent feedback but no response. Would love to be able to pay again.

The Good: Addictive gem swapping, Action mode is the most addictive

The Bad: Average visuals, lacks modes, missing Blitz, only plays well on large screens

Everyone knows that Bejeweled started the gem swapping puzzle games and was one of the first games to star the casual gaming craze. Now that Bejeweled has been ported to every gaming device under the sun why not phones to? Bejeweled 2 is very simple with just two modes. The first is classic which has you swapping matching colored gems with the usual three-of-a-kind style. Match four and you get a special gem that will wipe out that entire color you match it with. Match five and you get a hypercube which will clear and entire area. The visuals are pretty average and aren't much to look at, but that classic gem swapping design is addictive and can keep you playing for a lot longer than you initially expected.

The second mode is Action which has a timer that counts down and every time you match gems it will go up some. The longer you play the faster it will drop so this mode keeps you on the edge. The third mode is Endless which has no penalties and no leveling for...well...endless play. I have to say that with these types of games modes are the big selling point and this game is lacking modes. The three modes are pretty standard, and the game is also lacking the awesome Blitz mode.

What is here is fun and will keep any casual fan busy for a long time, but the game is also good in short bursts. You can't deny the addictive play style of matching gems because you get that "just one more!" feeling from it. I wish the graphics were a little more spruced up, but if you play the game on larger screens it is much easier to play.... What is here is good just don't expect anything revolutionary or even grand out of it. Read more ›

I bought this for the Kindle Fire because I love the PC version. It plays just fine, and I enjoy it, but I don't like being forced to be online in order to play. I've tried re-downloading it, etc., but it absolutely refuses to play without being on wireless, even if I choose if from the device bookshelf.
