4.0 out of 5 stars good book
This book has all the ingredients of a good book: good writing style, well explained, proper diagrams, etc. The concepts have been explained well in this book. There was only one problem that i had in this book: The inital part in the FM chapter, the derivation adopts a different technique and somehow landed up with something different. It was different from what was...

1.0 out of 5 stars Lots of Little Problems make for one big flaw
Like other reviewers I have found many problems that indicate lack of a quality technical editor. This book has all the ingredients of a good book: good writing style, well explained, proper diagrams, etc. The concepts have been explained well in this book. There was only one problem that i had in this book: The inital part in the FM chapter, the derivation adopts a different technique and somehow landed up with something different. It was different from what was being taught in the class and what was presented in other books, e.g. Electronic Communication Systems by Kennedy, Davis. I'm not saying its wrong, but was something totally different. Barring that, the text book is an excellent one. Well done.

This has been typical for other editons of this book. I would not suggest using this text in a learning enviroment due to the confusion caused by the numerous typos.
