I was first introduced to this handy item years ago when I was living in Taiwan. I recently had several hard-to-kill flies enter my home one unusually hot day and remember the zapper from long ago. I haven't ever seen it in stores here in the US, but found it right away online. There were several to chose from on Amazon, but I went with the one that seemed the best value (low price/better quality). So far, I've been really pleased with this one (I received two, but so far only use one) - it really packs a bunch. Be prepared for a pretty large popping sound if you happen to swat at a moth.

Anyway, I highly recommend this zapper - it does the job right and the price is competitive.

battery cover cannot fully closed if batteries are inserted.

but the major issue is the model shipped to us is one using two AA batteries, not as the "Description" in Amazon. We could have paid less for other models using AA batteries. The reason we picked this is because it is said in the description to be "Using two D batteries, this electric fly swatter will kill flies and other small bugs instantly. "

The product is very light weight and it feels delicate, so just be sure to care for it properly. But it does it's job very well, it killed a huge bee in contact. It does use 2 AA batteries, so have some handy before buying this product.

Used one of these at a friend's house and couldn't wait to get my own and one for my son's family! They are really great, and you can even zap that one pesky mosquito that gets into the house at night!

Great for the price, just don't drop it. Also, do not touch the screen when on. It packs a punch.

My mother -in-law has one just like it - get the one with the D cell battery power and not the AA version.
Smokes them when you get the flies - but most of my left town when they saw the zapper in the house !

The grating is a little large, which means that very small bugs like fruit flies CAN be missed, but for the most part, it gets 'em! You usually hear a satisfying pop so you know you got it. My frustration comes from the flies that land on the window and won't get away from it. I usually hold the zapper flat against the window, which can be tricky depending on the angle, and when the fly finally moves, ZAP!

So easy to get those pesky mosquitos!!! Do not ever get the zappers with only double A batteries. This one uses D batteries so it has enough power to smoke unwanted pests. Get this for sure!

It worked fine, until the button broke off, which was near impossible to get back on. It wouldn't fit back in without unscrewing it, and the screws were screwed in so tight that they stripped when trying to unscrew it

The head of the zapper is a bit smaller than I would like but it does work.
Also the zap is not that strong. I have had others that are so strong that the
bug will explode. This is also a rather cheaply made item. Be gentle when
using it.
