This is my 2nd time buying this product. The first one I bought years ago for my own daughter at about 1 years old and she is now almost 3 and still plays with them. I recently just bought them for my almost 1 year old niece. They were a hit and my niece loves them and her mom loves them so her daughter will stop stealing her keys. These are great because they have a flash light on them (its a BRIGHT one so i watched to make sure kids don't point it in their eyes) and 4 sound buttons. The keys are the part I love the most. They are actually metal (no sharp points they are more rectangle like you see in the picture so safer than real key shape) so they are cold so they can chew on them to sooth gums when teething and have more of a realistic sound and feel so they leave your own keys alone. They are also a smaller toy so you can throw them in the diaper bag for the stores or car rides. love love these keys!!!

These keys were larger than I expected. Came with a non-working flashlight which was a major disappointment. I also think they could improve the sounds - they aren't very realistic or fun to hear. I was so excited when I found these keys online but after receiving them, I would not recommend to a friend. Especially for the price!

My 15 month old loves this. If I find him "jonesing" for my car keys, I just put these in his hands and he goes to town. I like the fact that the keys are metal because the plastic keys don't fool him. The noises that it makes sound so real that my husband thought that our car door was open when my son kept pressing one of the chime buttons. I highly recommend.

Our son always wanted our keys, in fact he pitched a fit if he didn't get them. His own, old school, plastic set didn't cut it. These keys with electronic light and sound key fob are terrific. Our son is pacified immediately and enjoys playing for up to 15 minutes. Via the button pushing, he learns cause and effect and he uses them for pretend play but I wouldn't say they are the most "educational" toy out there. Unfortunately the light on our set broke within the first week--a blessing in disguise because he was shining the mini flashlight right into his eyes! The other buttons are still going strong after more than 4 months. I suggest these keys be used in an emergency like to mollify your little tyke at a restaurant rather than an everyday car toy since the sound effects can be grating: engine starting, car door beeping locked, a door bell, and a car horn.

My 18 month old likes these key for the four distinct noises. We like them because the keys are rounded so there are no sharp edges if he shoud fall on them and that they are too big to stick in a light socket. The build seems nice enough for a kid toy. There is no volume control, but I think that would have been a frustration point for my son. He seems pretty happy with these. Sometimes I don't have them with us and I will end up giving him my keys. When we come home I tell him to get his own keys and he is happy enough to give me mine back. I would recommend these keys.

My 16 month old son has gone through a few 'obsessions' so I seem to always be on the lookout for decent play versions of the real thing. Just shy of a year, he wanted any kind of remote control (the Fisher-Price Sesame Street Silly Sounds Remote got us through that phase!), then he moved onto disposable coffee cups and now, at 16 months, it's keys. These have been the best distraction for him from the real thing. He loves to play with the buttons and jangle the metal keys (he immediately tosses anything with plastic keys). The sounds are great and not too loud. It even has a flashlight! I've had to buy several sets which should keep him busy until he moves onto his next fascination.

UPDATED Review:

Looks like this toy either sucks the life out of batteries quickly, or came with nearly used up batteries.
It stopped working very soon after I got it, unlike similar toys from other brands, but it turns out that a battery change was all it needed.
Simple concept and the keys are a nice touch. The sounds are a tad annoying (ironically the car chirp-chirp is the most pleasant).

My baby girl is always trying to get my carkeys away from me so when I saw these, I knew we had to have them. I love that the key is real metal so she's still interested in them even when I have mine out. She loves the sounds, especially the car starting; it makes her laugh. =) Just the other day she figured out the light. She would push the button and move on when it didn't make noise but now that she's found the light she gets a kick out of turning it on and off. I love watching her learn cause and effect. She really enjoys these keys and the price was right!
