5.0 out of 5 stars This is the best solder I have ever used!
This has to be the best solder I have ever used. VERY fast melting time, and very smooth application. I haven't created a bad joint with it yet. Using a Weller WP35 iron, this stuff flows in under 1 second, whereas the last roll of solder (that came from who-knows-where) took 3 or 4 seconds to melt, and then made bad joints more than it made good ones!

2.0 out of 5 stars Cheap but usable
I used this solder right next to some smaller diameter Kester. Solder is solder, right? Guess again! Solder flux is not solder flux, and there is a world of difference between good flux and cheap flux, and this stuff has cheap flux in it. If you need to save a penny and have an easy job, you can get by with this stuff. But I'm a penny-pencher, and I'll gladly spend...

I'm in for two more rolls!

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice solder, September 15, 2010

This solder is good for through the hole soldering because the diameter is pretty big compared to the smaller wire solder and so because of that this solder is not good for small components like tiny ICs or tiny surface mount parts, but the price is good for this one.

It cam fast, in a big box. Lot's of wasted space inside the box, but well packed. It's always more fun to open big boxes.
