I'm an Electrical Engineer working for a private R&D company. This handy book has all the major things you need to know. It shows electrical concepts, formulas, tables, etc. This book would go really well for Electronics Technicians and Electronic Engineers as well. I've been out of school only for 3 years, but I sure did forget a lot of the theory that was thought in school. Instead of rummaging through my school books, I can open up this pocket reference and find out how to calculate "this" and how to do "that."Highly recommended!

This book is very small to have a Mega loads and loads of information. It would be nicer if the book has less detailed information and short talk.

I came across the third edition (2000) of this book in a local electronics store. At first glance it is utterly brilliant, and just the thing I have always been looking for, not just for the data but for the wisdom that this canonical information is what real electronics engineers need to use to construct working circuitry. But oh dear. In many cases it would seem that the printing gremlins have struck, and the denominators of formulae have not been printed. Many of these formulae are ones I need to use, such as inductance formulae for coils. In these cases I spotted there was an error; in the case of transistor biasing I am not so well-informed and I have no way of knowing if the formulae are right or wrong. Now that I am suspicious I think some of them are wrong, but I have no means of correcting them. I am quite angry that McGraw-Hill should have released a book in such a condition. I don't want to be reading about lawsuits arising from the fires started by equipment built according to these guidelines. Amazon, please be warned.

I purchased a copy of this marvel at a local bookstore (sorry Amazon) and feel it was worth the 25 bucks. I wish I could have afforded 2 of them. Electronics at your fingertips. A must have for anyone in the electronics industry.
