Best album to date,
By A Customer
This review is from: Electronomicon (Audio CD)
When i first purchased this album, i had rathe rlow expectations. Witness the Millenium was ok, but not as good as this bands previous albums. So i didnt think this album was gonna be all to good. But i was very wrong. This is easily the bands best album since Kiss the Goat, if not even better then that one. The band has found a perfect formation of their former sound and thier new metal sound. If your a long time fan of thiers, then this album should appeal to you. If your just a big metal head then this album will really be a hit on you. Either way, it is an outstanding piece of music which shows the bands has a great ability to progress thier new sound into very dark places. Keep em coming guys.

Return to hell,

Electronomicon is a great cyber-metal CD. A few years ago The Electric Hellfire Club announced that they wished to change their sound, and didn't want to be pigeon-holed in the goth/industrial category. They have moved guitars completely to the front of their music. The CD begins with a few hard core tacks that remind me of that great late-80's thrash like Slayer, Exodus, or Nuclear Assault. Slowly, the keyboards enter into the mix adding a nice future/cyber ambiance. Kind of reminds me of "Iron Helix" by Xorcist. This CD is really good. Once you dig into the tracks there is a lot there, a highpoint definitely being Tannhauser Gate. They are creating their dark satan music, but never taking themselves too seriously (as is evident by "I Dream of Demons" and "Wired in Blood"). I give it only 4 stars, because listening to it, I know this CD will have to grow on me. "Kiss the Goat" and "Burn, Baby, Burn" on the other hand, both grabbed me right away. For new fans, I'd say if you're more of a metal head, go ahead and get "Electronomicon". If you're more of a goth/rivit head, I'd start out with one of the older CD's that I mentioned above. For older EHC fans, if you really liked "The Witness the Millennium", you will probably like "Electronomicon".

Unbelieveable,
This review is from: Electronomicon (Audio CD)
As an EHC collector and Fan, i jumped to get this album and the sound is amazing. Beautiful use of samples. The songs that will definately get your heart racing are Hypochristian, Whores of Babylon, Broken Goetia, and This Is The Zodiac. But don't leave it at that. the whole CD is an amazing and is a must own
