4.0 out of 5 stars elegant prose, few diagrams, March 16, 2006
This review is from: Electrons and Phonons: The Theory of Transport Phenomena in Solids (Oxford Classic Texts in the Physical Sciences) (Paperback)
This reprints a book that first appeared over 40 years ago. But the material is still correct. And it has Ziman's elegant prose, that some of you might already be aware of, from his other texts.

The biggest difference between the book's presentation and a more recent text is simply the paucity of diagrams in the former. Enough do appear to illustrate the gist of various concepts. You do have to depend on your understanding of the text and the derivations of the equations.
