5.0 out of 5 stars Most Versatile Accessory Ever
This is the most versatile, practical, stylish, luxurious accessory. I have one and bought my stepmom one for Xmas. It's soft and thin so it stores in small spaces and can be used as a winter scarf, cocktail cover-up, throw blanket, poncho, head covering for drizzly weather, hip belt, even a veil for bellydancing. Wrinkle resistant and perfect for traveling. I love...

3.0 out of 5 stars Lovely, but not traditional pashmina
You get what you pay for, and after losing a much-loved (and ancient) pashmina shawl, I ordered a couple of these to tide me over. 3.0 out of 5 stars Lovely, but not traditional pashmina, February 25, 2010

You get what you pay for, and after losing a much-loved (and ancient) pashmina shawl, I ordered a couple of these to tide me over. Then I went down to my local East Asian market to look for something better, and found a whole heap of these jacquard ones for $10 each, so check around -- they were identical. Now, to be honest, I was under no illusion that at $16 a pop, these were traditional Nepalese pashmina, but they looked pretty in the photos, and they really are in person. As I understand it, the US has no standard for the term pashmina so people are selling heaven knows what with prices all over the board. At least these shawls did not hold static electricity like some so-called pashminas. But the tags are cheaply glued in, bright white, and impossible to remove without literally peeling half the fabric content away. (Traditional pashmina won't take glue, and the tags s/be lightly tacked w/thread at each corner.) If I had it to do over again, I'd just color these tags with a Sharpie to blend in. Still, I think for a pretty wrap for an evening out, these will do nicely. But don't kid yourself what they are. For a warm, durable pashmina that is designed to last a lifetime and will ward off the elements, shop elsewhere. And expect to pay at least $100 for a smallish, basic, machine-made version, and upwards of $400 for a traditional version. I am going to enjoy my cheapies as decorative accessories, but keep shopping for a workhorse pashmina. I'm thinking the Rocky Mt. Emporium here is the way to go. Looks like the real deal.

Wrinkle resistant and perfect for traveling. I love it--it's comfortable and looks great! I even have a minor wool allergy and the wool in this is soft enough and tempered by the silk that it doesn't scratch my skin. It's definitely a good find!!!

I took this on a trip to Europe recently. I usually freeze on airplanes, but this kept me quite warm. It very soft & quite attractive. All of the women were wearing scarves in Barcelona & I fit right in wearing this out in the city on numerous days. Love this product!

Rec. the Paisley Jacquard Shawl, and I am loving it.
I am completely satisfied with this product, the material is light weight, just as I needed to travel with during this time of the year. The fringe on the shawl adds to the beauty of it.

I have ordered quite a few of these silk/pashmina scarfs and have not been disappointed. I always keep some on hand at home to use as presents when I need one and everybody I gave them to loved them. They have a lovely soft feel to them and the colors are very pretty.

I bought the Cinnamon colored wrap, and it is a very warm coppery brown. I was worried that the color might be too dark or too orangey, but it is neither. It is very much the way the color is pictured. This wrap can be elegant and classy for a night out or can be worn casually with everyday skirts or jeans. It is very versatile and flattering. The jacquard pattern is subtle but adds texture and depth. Price can't be beat for the product. Very pleased!

I'm planning to go on a cruise and when I saw this shawl I knew it would work with all my "smart Casual" dinner outfits. It is beautiful, much nicer than I had hoped. The material is soft and smooth and an added benefit of the weave is that I can choose to use the lighter side out one time and then for a different look I can reverse the shawl and wear the darker side out. It is light weight and will not take up a lot of space in my bag/ purse. Thank you for such a beautiful product and your quick shipping.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exquisite shawl, September 22, 2010

I got this shawl in Cinnamon, which is actually more bronze, and love it. It's soft and light, yet still keeps off a chill. I find myself putting it on even when I don't need to just because it feels and looks so good. My only complaint (and it's minor) is that the tag is a bit large, but it doesn't really impact the overall look of the shawl.

This would make a perfect gift for someone who likes to dress up or just wants to keep a little bit warmer in the office. I'd keep mine at home except that I have cats who would love to mutilate the tassels and would take over the shawl because of its softness.
