Oh Helen Gibb...what happened? I would highly recommend all 3 of her other books. I use them all the time for ideas and inspiration and they all teach something different. But this book didn't teach me anything I didn't already know. The front cover is the only design that I hadn't seen in any other Helen Gibb books. And of course this book shows you how to do that technique. But my first and best ribbon flower book is The Artful Ribbon, and it has the same technique in it only more variations of it. This book has a few bridal type ideas and other projects but it is seriously lacking all those beautiful vintage examples of fabulous creations that all the other Helen Gibb books have. It has some but not what I'm used to with the other books. It just seems to me that this book was cranked out in a hurry and I was very disappointed with it. I'm really considering sending it back.

Once again, Helen Gibb has taken beautiful vintage techniques and combined them with her creativity to produce a book with more fabulous ribbonwork projects. As a ribbon enthusiast I appreciate her attention to detail and the clear instructions she gives in order to make the projects easy to accomplish. There are wonderful original pieces in this book including wedding bouquets, tea hats, an opera jacket TO DIE FOR, and a vintage inspired Christmas stocking that should be on every mantle.
Anyone who loves ribbon and ribbonwork projects must own this book in addition to her 3 other books and DVD. It's a winner!

I loved going through this book. it has beautiful picture and very good instructions on how to do the ribbom flowers. This book I recommend to have for all crafter in all level of skills.

This is another excellent book on ribbonwork by Helen Gibb. This book is a great resource for anyone who like to do ribbonwork. It is easy to understand and follow her instructions.

Even if I never physically make one of Helen's gorgeous flowers (never enough time to do it all),I just love to browse through her books. The flowers are fabulous and the presentation of the book is just a dream. A "must have" coffee table book for crafters. Helen is an inspirational Aussie export!

I am the author of this book and would just like to thank all the customers who have purchased this book, and my other books about ribbonwork. In Elegant Ribbonwork there are several new techniques, such as the lovely roses that grace the cover of the book in addition to over 27 ALL NEW projects suitable for beginners and advanced alike. There is a chapter on weddings, a chapter that covers wearables including a fabulous jacket encrusted with roses, there are several hats, brooches, a bracelet, a purse and scarf set, a Victorian christmas stocking and much, much, more. You won't be disappointed - this book is very beautiful and inspiring and will give you the confidence to try your hand at making lovely ribbon embellished projects.

For those not familiar with ribbonwork this book is categorized as a project book. It goes beautifully with my technique book Ribbonwork the Complete Guide. There is also an instructional DVD titled Beginners Guide to Ribbonwork that has 24 ribbonwork lessons on it and is two hours long.

You will enjoy this book just as much as all my other ribbonwork books. Buy with confidence!

This little book holds many, many instructions and pictures to show you how to make a wide variety of ribbons. It covers miniature ribbons, full size ribbons and a large offering of uses. The photos inside the book are informative and beautiful. There are many photos of historical uses of ribbon.

I have all of Helen Gibb's books and her DVD. This is the best book of all.
She just keeps getting better and better. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. It is like having a private lesson.

I received the book in a timely manner and it was in very good condition. I like to collect ribbon instruction books--especially ribbon embroidery books.

I have all of Helen Gibb's books. They are beautiful to look at, as well as excellent tools for learning. Making beautiful ribbon flowers is a very satisfying hobby.
