Great product, except for the fact the red gems fell off during shipping, but I didn't personally care. I love these, and I'm definitly happy with my purchase.

This review is from: Elektra Sai's - Set of 2 With A Sharp Tip (Misc.)
If you've never held a sai, they are heavier than they look, and these are no exception. These sai are a bit longer than most martial arts sais. The point of balance is just slightly lower than the beginning of the spike "blades." These come to a very very lethal point. They are basically large stilleto/thrust daggers with trident style guards and one piece metal design including the handle. Despite the movie inspiration, these are actually one of the most dangerous weapons you can pick up. The ornamental red fixtures tend to come off, but are easy enough to glue back on, if you care. The metal seems to be aluminum, but is still hard and heavy enough to fight with. The extremely pointy tips however, will bend if you drop this on a hard floor or thrust it into brick or harder wood surface. I ended up snipping a tiny bit off each end, and filing the ends to points again, to create stronger points at less of an angle, which will not bend. Still, most likely you will love this item, it feels satisfying in the hand, and is a lot deadlier than most "combat knives." This gets a 4 stars, and the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because you have to do a little bit of work on the points to get them strong enough to knock around.
