This book will really make you stop and say "I never knew that". Here you'll find a comprehensive list of symbols of the ancient, modern and natural world and discover what they mean. Perfect for making yourself look smart and interesting in front of you friends.

The only bad points are that there is not enough pictures (all have descriptions, but only some have images. These are in black and white). Also, there is no index.

I am impressed with the thoroughness of this book. It is broad and deep in its coverage. It covers many more esoteric symbols and concepts than most other similar books and its explanations are as in-depth as they can be for a book such as this. The book is almost 700 pages in length. I highly recommend this book to those who are interested in the meaning of symbols, numbers, sacred geometry, divinities, rites, rituals, alchemy, flora, fauna and more.

If your looking for something that has every symbol but very brief description-this is your book. Under the title is the heading "the ultimate a-z guide from alchemy to the zodiac," this is entirely true. However there is very little description and references to each symbol. It is very basic, but nice if you don't want the whole story. In addition to the many symbols in the book it also includes: numerology, color meanings, attire meanings, fragrance meaning and much, much more. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is just discovering symbols.
