I bought this to use in the gutted trunk of my 2002 WRX. The trunk came with nothing in it and so instead of spending the $400 to replace everything in the trunk, I decided on a solid sound deadener and keeping it functional over fashionable. As far as I can tell it works wonderfully. I need to figure out how to do the front wheel wells b/c that seems to really be the only place I am really hearing any road noise now.
Definitely would reccomend waiting until the temperatures are above the minimum temperature of 50degrees. Being a kid at heart I got impatient and did it on a day where the high temp only got up to about 52deg and because of that ended up using a heat gun on a lot of it. The job would go much better and easier with warmer temps.

My trunk rattled before putting this stuff on and it continued to rattle after applying it. A lot of prep work is required, removing and cleaning where you want to apply it to. I slathered it on liberally and let it dry overnight before reinstalling the felt back into the trunk. Only real bright spot is that it is light. Dynamat is really heavy and adds a lot of weight. Maybe you'll able to tell the difference, I couldn't.
