I was struggling grasping math concepts with other books, and this booked helped me a great deal! Solid examples and lots of practice problems. Algebra is your foundation in math, so I recommend no other book. Now if these 2 authors make a math book I need, I will buy it without a doubt! Supplemented with Khan Academy, because not all details are explained in the book (but much more than others), you will be solving problems like 2nd nature in no time. I have the previous edition but can't wait to check this one out! It's a very thorough entire course. I love it because you can always go back and explore older concepts easily because it is combined in one book.

the books been very helpful since i'm not too big into mathematics, i can always go back and reference back to what the teacher explained in class, and do more equations to my satisfaction.

This book has great examples and is very clear. The end of chapter material is very helpful.

I was using the 3rd edition for my elementary algebra class but switched to this textbook for my intermediate algebra class. It is definitely more concise and the explanations are clearer than in the previous edition. Concepts are easier to grasp in this edition. So just based on content, its a good textbook although why anyone would want to buy it just for fun is beside me.

The book helps me quite a bit in my classes, I would be completely lost without it. I am grateful to have received it when I did.

The book itself was exactly what I was looking for and needed for my class; however, when I received my book it was missing the most vital piece of material - the Printed Access Card; of which the internet purchase said it would come with. In order to correct the error I would have had to send the entire book back and attempt to reorder and I needed the book that week for class. I ended up having to purchase the access card separately for an additional amount. I was not not impressed with Amazon for not sending all the materials they said they would send.

This book is like brand new and it was shipped right away! I was leary to order a used book for school but the condition is great. I'll order again for sure. Thank you!

This review is not regarding the material itself, I have not opened the book at all. However, when I pay almost $160 for a brand new textbook that will be used quite heavily this fall for college, I would expect it not to arrive with a spine that's bent out of shape. Not cool, Amazon.

I chose you because it says you ship from Arizona, which is where I live. Shipped to my house in less than a week. Books were in such good condition, I can't tell if they've ever even been opened. Thanks so much!

When I ordered product I received a detailed email with tracking information from the sender which was very helpful. The book came a lot faster then I thought it would and package very nice. Nothing bad to say about the shipper.
