Editorial Reviews

Review

"Â…well-written, interesting, excellent summary book--helpful in both Intro and Techniques as a preview and as a review. Advanced students [doctoral & ed specialist] have given it positive feedback."

"I really appreciate the simplicity and breadth of this textÂ… the book is small and non-threatening to new students in the field, and there are references for further research."

4.0 out of 5 stars A quick, easy reference, January 27, 2001
By
Jennifer Thompson (Montpelier, VT United States) - See all my reviews
This book is a great starting point for those interested in learning more about counseling. It is modeled after the English book "The Elements of Style," and it's numbered format makes it really easy to follow. It can be read from front to back, or skipping around chapters. It was a very easy read and I will enjoy having it around to re-read some of the "elements" as the need arises. I recommend this book for anyone who is interested in a quick overview of the theories in counseling.
