4.0 out of 5 stars Challenging Game for A More Experienced Gamer
Don't purchase this game for your younger son (ages 5 to 12). Teens and adults will appreciate this game the most especially if you are looking for a fun challenge. I bought this for my son who is really interested in natural disasters. He was initially very excited, but became very frustrated with this game. You start off with tornadoes and lightning available to you, the rest have to be unlocked. The main problem is, it is almost impossible to beat the first level. 4.0 out of 5 stars Challenging Game for A More Experienced Gamer, January 19, 2009
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Elements Of Destruction (Video Game)
Don't purchase this game for your younger son (ages 5 to 12). Teens and adults will appreciate this game the most especially if you are looking for a fun challenge. You get to use a multitude of destructive disasters to destroy buildings, landscapes, and anti-disaster devices. The game will challenge you by creating certain devices that suck up your disasters. Thus you have to use strategy, timing, and budgeting to beat the harder levels. You have to use the stylus and drag certain disasters over an object and then drag them back the opposite way (vice-versa till the disaster depletes). A lot of reviews just didn't take the time to learn the game. Don't take the lower 1 or 2 star reviews, because they didn't properly test the game out. If you are looking for an innovative game with god-like control of nature and have patience, then Elements of Destruction is for you. Also you can't beat Amazon's price.

5.0 out of 5 stars KICK-@$$, August 1, 2008

I'm not sure why the other people don't like this game, it's SOOOOOOOOO MUCH FUN! Yes it's challenging. Well, duh. Do you want a game that's so easy that you get through it fast? no. Do you want a game that's kinda challenging so it takes u 3 times to do each board so you finish it not too fast, but quick? eh, no.

The game is challenging. Not right away, but of course you have to get used to it. This is more than just a game to blow stuff up and go nuts. This is a really challenging puzzler in a different format. There's specific targets, various forms of elemental destruction, items that make your tornado/lightning/hail storm increase a level of power, magnitude and destructive capability. I got to the 4th week and it gets harder and harder. But extremely fun, challenging, frustrating of course (which all good games do because you gotta keep trying, oh no, not trying!) Take it from me, the game really does kick-butt. Without realizing it, you'll spend a lot of time on it trying to destroy as much as possible, trying different paths of blowing stuff up.

Not for young kids, unless they love puzzlers. Find it used if your curious at gamestop. It's totally worth it.

Every thing in this game is... AWESOME!If you want to know why I picked this game, the answer is here.My mom went shopping one day and she got the game. When I first saw the game I knew that I was going to like it.And I did.I made it to the third level, which is kind of hard, but challenging.I like the game because I am really, really, into disasters. But not real life ones.DUH!No one does. And I hope never to see one.The game has these storms:tornados, earthquakes, hail, lightning, and meteors. Hope you could find this review helpful. Gabriel (8 yeras old).

If you like puzzle games.

You have to figure out how to destroy a set percentage of the town/city.

My 8yo got through the first level on the first day, the second level on the second day. So far he really likes it

I bought this for my son who is really interested in natural disasters. He was initially very excited, but became very frustrated with this game. You start off with tornadoes and lightning available to you, the rest have to be unlocked. The main problem is, it is almost impossible to beat the first level. He tried many times, I tried also, but the control over the storms is imprecise, so it is difficult to meet the level objective. This game was put aside after one day of play.

This seemed to have a lot of promise - you get to conjure up storms, tornadoes and earthquakes and aim them at various cityscapes to create maximum damage! I know, it's creepy but it seems fun ! A vicarious apocalypse. But your storms run out of power way too fast, they zip across the landscape with little effect and the controls that should let you launch multiple storms are too klunky to allow much ability to manipulate your creations. I really wanted to like this game but I just didn't. It's frustrating; not fun. (And the cheats I found online didn't work!)

A Kid's Review
= Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars

When i started playing this game was really hard. Not even a game master can beat this. I tried playing again but still couldn't win, not even in a million years i can play this. You only have few minutes in a level. Not enough time. This game is crazy. Even my friend Robert tried it and didn't like it.
