More than a book,the elements of hindu iconography is a referance source that gives every deatiled explanations of legends about hindu deities.If anyone is academicly working on icons (hindu) this is the right collection.Well ıt does not contain more social sciencetific datas but every description of these great icons,can be find in this collection.Trimurta belief and tons of other combinations can be find.I havent searched the whole collection but ı have checked what is in and translated nearly 86 pages to turkish.It is a deep and heavy collection about icons. |
