"Elena Undone" is a must-see film for lesbian audiences, as well as for those who simply appreciate an extremely well-made, touching love story. This film sets a new standard for what lesbian films can and should be -- well-written and well-acted, with beautiful and talented actresses, believable acting, a gripping storyline, and an unexpected but pleasing ending. Unlike many lesbian/women-loving-women films out there, "Elena Undone" is a genuinely high quality film -- professionally written and produced, and enormously appealing to those of us who crave movies that portray realistic lesbian relationships and struggles. Yet it resists being exclusively a "niche" film by being emotionally accessible and appealing to gay and straight audiences alike. I was enthralled throughout the movie and left the theater dying to have my own copy so I could watch it again! And true confession...I watched the on-line trailer at least once a day for a solid month after I saw the film!
As a loyal devotee of good film making,I cannot recommend this lovely film enough!

I waited until I could get this movie on my Netflix to see it. I am so sick of being burned by poorly constructed and horribly acted lesbian movies that resemble a high school production. That being said, after finally watching this movie I can tell you that it is absolutely worth adding to any collection.

The story is relevant and touching. The writing funny, intense, and honest. The acting is excellent, especially from Necar Zadegan and Traci Dinwiddie. And their chemistry, well that was off the chart. I can honestly say I was invested in the characters and their journey from start to finish.

Elena Undone is what lesbian cinema should aspire to!

This story-loosely based on the memoir of how the writer: Nicole Conn & Producer: Marina Bader came to know each other is undeniably one of the best narratives of love, soulemetry, taking risks, and being true to thine-self, despite the current vernacular norm.

The lead actress: Traci Dinwiddie is absolutely drop dead gorgeous, and she plays her emotionally charged filled character-Peyton Lombard-a lesbian book writer, with such breadth & depth.

After seeing the film, I was completely astonished to learn that it was shot in 12 days, and the 3:24sec. of kissing between Elena & Peyton is not only the longest cinematic kiss in history-it is the hottest kiss on film! Not to mention, Traci and Necar have hot, sizzling chemistry on screen, and they are both great actresses-nothing "corny" here.

This is truly a must-see, and a must-see again & again.

I received my DVD in the mail yesterday and promptly sat down to watch it. It was so compelling and I was so moved by the film, based loosely on the story of the writer and director, that I am certain that I will watch it many times more. I can see how some might find this film corny and perhaps even silly. I think you have to believe in the underlying premise of the film (in soul mates/twin souls concept) in order to really enjoy the film. I must also say that I have never been a fan of Nicole Conn's; I thought Clare of the Moon was just poorly made and the acting left a lot to be desired. The acting in Elena Undone, on the other hand, is top notch. The two actresses really portrayed every emotion of these characters brilliantly. It doesn't hurt that both actresses are also very beautiful! I have watched tons of lesbian and gay cinema and this movie is certainly now in my top 5 (along with films like When Night is Falling and I Can't Think Straight). Kudos to the filmmakers and the cast of this film!!

Watching Elena Undone woke up my heart. The women in the movie were beautiful real women with and expressed with a great extent passion. We all get excited to watch an enjoyable lesbian flick however; every time a new film comes out, I get such a letdown. I don't take pleasure in the lesbian films anymore I would rather do without. Then Elena Undone appeared right before my eyes. I fell in Love with both women. At last a Happy Ending for Love. The film and music are so beautiful. Thank you For making the BEST woman's film Ever..

I've got to admit Nicole Conn has definitely out done herself! I own two of her other films and this one is THE best of her work! Bravo Nicole! This film was the most plausible story I've seen in a long time about two women who fall madly in love and go through all the emotional pains involved in a love that both realize the truth of who they are. For Elena, she learns she's lived a lie and has finally experienced truth of what love is. For Peyton, she comes to grips with her insecurities of holding onto love by finding true love that lasts. Through her struggles she finds that there is such a thing and with someone who is honest towards her. True, the love scenes are very passionate and well done. Both Necar and Traci have done remarkable acting and deserve huge applauds and standing ovations. Overall, a welcomed film in my collection and I know I'll be viewing this one many times to come. Great work!

Help! I can't stop watching this movie! It's fun, incredibly sexy, the actresses are so beautiful . . . and the chemistry between them feels real and powerful. It also has some pretty memorable dialogue, as in this scene where Peyton's friend Wave is cautioning her about the obvious attraction building between Peyton and Elena:

Wave: I think it's getting a little bit out of control, no? The unbuttoning of the shirt... What about all the eye blazing that goes on between you? I mean, come on. Who does that?
Peyton: Eye blazing? Seriously?
Wave: You're the writer, call it what you want.

I love it!

Seriously hot, funny at times and kind of addicting, this is the lesbian film I have been waiting for.
