Nice looking probe. Seems well built. Only owned it a few weeks so i do not know how long it will last but it worked perfectly for me.

I had a very old 1981 IBM computer with a dead motherboard. I had no prior experience whatsoever with troubleshooting computer circuits and was told that I needed all sorts of analyzers and oscilloscopes, etc... Someone recommended that I buy this simple logic probe and it worked PERFECTLY to solve my issue. Using schematics and advice from people online, I quickly identified a chip that should have been sending data pulses that was not pulsing. I replaced that chip and my rare early computer is running again.

NOTE: this does not come with instructions or a book to tell you how to use it. On the back of the box, it explains the lights and beeps and that's about it. There are plenty of online tutorials to teach you how to use it.

I didn't expect very much from this probe because of the low price. I got about what I expected, I suppose.

I was probing a TTL signal that has a negative going pulse somewhat longer than 1us, according to my oscilloscope, a Tektronix 455. The LP-560 never flashed it's pulse light. It did indicate a TTL logic 1 with 2.5V at the probe point, which is a plus for it. But it didn't see the legitimate 1us logic 0 of the low pulse. Remember it's rated at 25 ns minimum detectable pulse. So it didn't see a pulse that was 40 times longer than its specification! That's not very impressive performance.

Maybe I have a bad probe, but it seems to work otherwise.

You can make your own determination as to whether you want to spend the money. It does work for lower speed pulses, but that's not a great recommendation.

It works very good, but I think the cable is too heavy for a hand tool. You can test digital level (high and low) and pulse. It have a buzzer with different sound for each digital level, it is very cool. I like it, just for one thing the cable it should be less weigh.

Great product for the price. I was able to narrow down which chip has failed on an arcade game pcb thanks to this device. Saved me a lot of time and money.

This product has been very useful in the digital electronics class that I am currently taking. I have not used the pulse indicator option yet but as far as the high low indicators I am able to test the accuracy of circuits I am building to check they are responding properly. This device is very easy to use and I can recommend it to anyone that works with digital logic.

This was recommended on one of the pinball repair websites so I bought one and have now used it a few times when troubleshooting boards on old pinball machines.

I have no idea if it meets it's specs or not like another reviewer mentioned as that is beyond my electronics knowledge but it works great for my purposes.
