The quality is good; they are better than some I have used and worse than others.

Clip these leads ON to anything, the clip hook deforms, then the clip falls off.

I have been in the electronics industry most of my life and owned my own electronics manufacturing company for 25 years. In that time I have used a lot of clip leads. In the old days, the only thing that was available were alligator clips which were a bit bulky. When integrated circuits came out, mini grabber type clips became available and are much nicer to work with than alligator clips. Since I'm retired but still fool around with electronics, I still need clip leads occasionally and most of the ones I have from the past are pretty beat up. I bought these, and I'm very pleased with them. Fairly heavy gauge wire, thick installation, good length, multiple colors, good quality clips, and reasonably inexpensive.

I purchased these test leads along with a set of the Elenco alligator clip test leads. I'll leave the same advice here that I left for those leads: make sure you order them from Amazon and not an Amazon partner. I ensured that Amazon was the one selling and shipping before I ordered it. On the product page, under the price, it should say "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com." If not, look under the Add To Cart box for the More Buying Options box and find the Amazon one. The package I received said Elenco Electronics, Inc on it. The clips are solid and the wires are clearly marked "20AWG 105C 600V" along the length.

Only 2 out of 5 actually worked smoothly. The remainder's springs wouldn't retract. I would not recommend this product, even for occasional use.

These are not the high-quality professional clips you are looking for. These leads are made of a cheap-feeling plastic, and are molded to a very low tolerance. They just don't have the crisp, precise movement of the good leads, and that makes them hard to work with. They might be fine for a student or a hobbyist on a budget, but professionals should stay away.

I bought this item from RTE Scientific seller. When I received this item, I immediately noticed that this is not the same item as pictured. I've used the same minigrabber before so I was expecting to get what was in the picture. I was expecting the product to be the same quality as what I've used before. To my disappointment, the item I received was not even the same as shown in the picture. It is cheaply made and I even wonder if this is even the real Elenco Minigrabber that I ordered. When I contacted the seller, I received I reply asking, "DID IT NOT WORK?" So I guess it doesn't matter whether you're getting what was represented as long as it does the same job. It's not really worth saving some money buying form untrusted seller. Next time, I'm buying something and it's available thru Amazon, I'd get it from them and pay the extra. Lesson learned!

Wow! These really are cheap junk. Unfortuntely the only good mini-grabber test leads I can find cost $44 for ten of them.

I should have known better. Now I will have to order the better ones anyway and either waste my time returning these or wasted my money and throw them in my junk pile.

The jumpers don't extend far enough to hook around component leads. The hook metal is very cheap quality, it bends and deforms easily making it difficult to get a good mechanical connection to the component lead.

was expecting a much lower quality product than what was received. I saw nothing wrong with these. Yes, they are PVC instead of silicon, but they are also a lot less expensive. Since my sole purpose for using them is to attach to things and conduct an electrical signal, it's a no brainer for me. I don't need the enhanced flexibility that silicon wires provide. If I were constantly trying to clip onto small components on a circuit board I might have an issue with these. I am clipping onto wires and small screws in tight spaces.
