These are nice little pre-cut jumpers. The case they come in is nice and there is a good assortment of sizes for the money.

These are solid wire (not stranded) and very stiff. It's great if when you have a jumper that fits exactly for your breadboard spacing, otherwise some "encouragement" is needed to bend the wires to fit.

UPDATE: Someone asked me to post the lengths of the wires included and that's when I actually counted them. My kit only has 13 wires, not 14. I'm not sure if it's the same kit and the description is wrong, or if Amazon is stocking/shipping the wrong kit. In looking closer my storage box looks like it's missing a compartment compared to the product photo. The wires that are in the kit work well, but the product description is potentially misleading.

Here are the measurements of the wires in the kit I received:

* Red sm: 1/8"
* Yellow sm: 5/16"
* Orange sm: 1/4"
* Green sm: 1/2"
* Blue: 9/16"
* Dk. Purple: 5/8"
* Grey: 11/16"
* White: 13/16"
* Lt. Purple: 1"
* Red: 2" (measured 1 7/8")
* Orange: 4"
* Yellow: 5"
* Green: 6"

This kit is nothing like how it's pictured, the plastic box is smoky white and not see-through. There are only 12 compartments so a lot more is mixed together than pictured and even after a replacement by Amazon I received multiple jumpers that were damaged and no where near the 350 pieces that is described.

This jumper kit is a "must have" for any electronics hobbyist or student. I built hundreds of circuit boards with pieces of wire everywhere. You could barely distinguish which wire went where. With this wire set, my projects are neater, cleaner, and well organized. I love this jumper kit.

I am an Electrical Engineer and constantly have to work with breadboards and circuits. This kit is really handy when trying to keep things nice and neat. Only real downside is, when you're trying to freeball something or just testing things out, it gets really hard to use this kit because you haven't sized everything and laid it out to accept all the right lengths of wire. Honestly if you're just going to use this for college projects or hobby projects I'd get it, but when you are building your projects for the first time, just use regular wire. It'll be messier to troubleshoot, but saves your the aggravation of having to move the chips all around to accept the wiring size. Overall good kit for permanent projects, not for testing circuits.

If your doing electronics worth with a breadboard, make sure you have a set of jumpers like this. Its far easier using pre-bent and stripped wires then doing it yourself and you get a decent amount of colors and lengths. All of mine were straight, stripped well, and I've had no issues. The box is also very nice, keeping the jumpers organized, even when you drop it (though it is plastic so be careful as it will of course break if dropped from too high onto a hard surface). I couldn't find a better price and with free 2-day shipping it got here before my arduino board which I ordered the week before!

very handy set of jumpers, along with the soft wire type i am also using these will be a great addition to my electronic tool box. they snap in place easy but if you aint got long finger nails i would have a small flat head for removing them. i bought two kits off amazon and was delivered in just a few days. i have tried these on to circuts on the bread board and they flex form to any position and then you just straighten them back out when your done. i will still use my long wires for jumping to other boards which these dont do very well. so really ya need both types for different jobs. would recomment and for $5 bucks, the snap case is almost woth that!

The kit arrived jumbled, so I spent some time sorting the wires back into respective colors.

Cutting and rebending has been necessary, so ardvark lengths occur. Mainly to track signal through the circuit. Came up with some nice looking circuits without the snaggle of looping wires.

I didn't buy these at Amazon but did purchase the same kit. I have breadboarded many circuits over the years using solid wire. Breadboarding, in itself, can be problematic due to mis-wiring and loose jumpers. Since it's difficult to strip both ends of a short jumper, homemade jumpers tend to be longer, get in the way, and can cause signal problems. For anything but a relatively simple circuit, use of homemade jumpers quickly looks like a forest! These jumpers are certainly good for initial breadboarding, but they are equally valuable when building a hard-copy of your design. There are several suppliers, including those on Amazon, who offer what's called a "proto board". This board has hole and bus patterns like a breadboard except that there are copper pads on the back. So, once you have a working breadboard design, it's easy to duplicate it on a proto board, soldering the same length jumper you used to breadboard. I find this a great time saver for one-of-a-kind designs. The only thing you have to be al little careful of is where one jumper crosses another at the stripped ends. You could have a short.

There is a little confusion in the description. There are 14 different lengths including a short, no insulation, jumper. The box has only 12 compartments so 2 of the lengths are shared with other lengths. I have found "refill" jumper kits, not Elenco branded, that contain about 140 jumpers for about $3. Interesting, the lengths and colors of the refill kit jumpers correspond with those in this kit.

As a hobbyist, I have found that the least pleasant aspect of electronics is building hardware. Using these jumpers during both the design
and build process is a time saver and reduces the chance of mis-wiring over the old "haywire" process.
