Basically any and all snap circuits are a huge win in my household. My 10 year old spends hours building things and even used the Electromagnetism add on set in his science project that he just did for school. The whole family gets involved. My husband helped my boys build a radio last week and they were so excited to show everyone in the neighbourhood. Thank you for making educational items enjoyable!

the supplied magnets (both ferro and electro) are quite weak so when you put the iron shavings tray over them you don't see any discernible magnetic field patterns as you're supposed to. Other than that, the product functioned as should and my son's science fair was an overall success.

The electromagnet is very weak and barely works. The kids had fun with the other parts but I am disappointed.

My son loves this extra add on. He has so much fun with snap-circuits. I would not hesitate recommending anything this company makes. Instructions are good, and he has a lot of fun with it.

This item is not very good: it lacks sufficient magnetic power when using the batteries as directed to really demonstrate the usefulness of electromagnets. If the battery holder could hold twice as many batteries to provide current to the electromagnet, then maybe the electromagnet in this product would be effective enough to demonstrate the technical principles it was intended to.

My kids love this. It's hard to get them to slow down enough to listen to the reasons "why". They're picking it up as they go though.

Disappointing. The electromagnet formed in this kit is so weak that it does not disturb the iron filings provided.

I opened it and demonstrated it and no one was very impressed.

I ordered this kit because I could not find the right supplies like the copper wire, magnets, metal shavings and the appropriate tools for making an science fair electromagnet. This kit solved my problems. I was grateful for the kit. My son took a computer class and he is 31 years old and enjoyed playing with it.
