the unparalleled paragon of story telling for young and old, September 10, 2003
To put a rating on this gem is like putting a smiley face sticker on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. i pity every child and full grown person who has never had the pleasure of listening to this magical piece of work. i know that i wore my tape recording of it to shreds. Jack Nicholson's throaty, slow paced voice gives this classic fable a brand new soul while Bobby McFerrin's phenomenal voice and body beats weave the story together in an unprecedented, unforgettable ambrosia for the ears....

Our favorite story of all times!, February 12, 2008
This review is from: The Elephant's Child (Audio CD)
This really is for all ages, as I still listen to it every time my daughter does!
It is one of our favorites! One of Rudyard Kipling's best stories!
Pretty much impossible to get
nationally or worldwide!
So this makes this a real treat and a collectors item
aside from a great told story by the only Jack Nicholson
and the wonderful sounds by Bobby McFerrin
for your child and you!
You will Luv' it for certain! Enjoy!

A real classic!, October 8, 2011
I loved reading this story as a child. Jack Nicholson does a superb job of reading this story and Bobby McFerrin's score is perfect. We bought this on cassette back in the 80's for our daughter. I was very happy to find a CD version to enjoy.
