I felt compelled to write a few words about this stunning album .
The music is just wonderful, I couldn`t believe my ears as I sat and listened to the first 4 tracks alone !!!!
There seems to be such a lack of genuine talent in the music industry today, especially popular music, so this album has really awakened my love for music .
I really hope this is NOT the end of this series, and it would be nice to hear some more from the not so familiar(yet fantastic !!!!) artists on the CD like Sami Takiedinn, Paul Lawler and Hust Singletary .

Once again Earthtone have put out another Elevation CD. But this fourth edition turns out to be my absolute favorite and could rank as the best New Age compilation CD I,ve ever owned. The music here is more like ambient jazz with some trip-hop beats on a few songs.

Oceans Cry by Hustan Singletary is a stunning ambient jazz song with amazing ambience, beautiful jazz guitars, amazing keyboards, and great drums. This is a must hear. The title is perfect. White Wings by Paul Lawler is another ambient jazz song but is more somber and has more pianos. There are ocassional orchestra sounds as well and trumpets. Shaka by Tadashi Namba is a very upbeat song with cool beats, pianos and some African drums. This song strongly reminds me of something from a Pat Methany records. A Process Of Elevation by Paul Lawler is very much like White Wings but happier and has a trumpet that sort of reminds me of Rick Braun. Across Angoran Goro by Huston Singletary is an amazing song with ambient synthesizers, breathtaking trumpets, cool beats, and great melody to create a song I'll enjoy for the rest of my life. A Voice In The Darkness by Sami Takkiedin is an upbeat jazzy song. It starts off with a strong breeze with some ambient hum. Then it becomes a jazzy like song with a voice speaking in the background. It then becomes a fast paced upbeat jazzy song. Metro by Soma Sonic is a fabulous song. It's a very fast trip-hop with ambience, bass hooks, and at 1:36 a heavy beat comes in to make you dance around the house. I never though New Age could have so much energy. This song is a must hear. Catu by Ikarus is an electronic trip-hop oriented song with some echoing voices and funky beats. It also is has some jazzy sounds especially towards the ending. Some rave music fans might enjoy this song. The Mission by Christopher Franke is absolutely stunning and is the winner on this album. It's a very mournful with chants, beautiful flutes, and Gregorian chants. Thundering beats some in at the last minute and a half of the song. This is my absolute favorite off this CD. Synthetic Beauty by Govinda is another trip-hop electronic dance number with some Middle Eastern sounds and a fast beat. I love the ambient ending. This is a great song. Movements In Space by Sami Takkiedin is haunting. It's a very space oriented song with a danceable beat but not as fast as Metro or Synthetic Beauty. In fact this song stands out on it's own. It's a very ambient, spacey song with some pianos. This is my second favorite. The closing track A Radiant Band Of Light by Christopher Franke is a breathtaking song with a misty cloudy ambient sound with didgeridoos, acoustic guitars, mournful flutes and beautiful chanting. Towards the ending the are some violins for a real treat for the ears.

This Elevation CD is by far the strongest of all the Elevation CDs and could even beat out Earthtone Collection Two as my all-time favorite New Age compilation CD. But whatever the case it still beats out any of the Pure Moods CDs even though those are good too but they are nothing like the Elevation or Earthtone CDs. This is an essential New Age compilation CD. Believe me it was worth the wait for this fantastic CD and I bought it the day it came out and it was worth the 18 dollars I spent. Go out and buy this CD. It's one U'll regret passing up.

Elevation 4: Truly a tremendous step UP to the next Elevation! I can't believe how GREAT this album is! This should be the example for ALL records to follow...!

First of all, the album track order is superb. The tracks flow like a summer breeze or the gentle flow of the ocean's waves. They play like a journey of the mind that takes me to places yet unknown.

Second, I think the talent on the record makes a BIG difference as well. From the notorious Christopher Franke to Paul Lawler to Govinda to Huston Singletary. Speaking of Huston, this guy is WONDERFUL! Truly a unique sound. Very 'ear-appealing'! Huston brings out a different side of the Jazzy-Contemporary genre that I have never heard before. I like it a lot!

Lastly, the album is a 'people friendly' one. What I mean by that is that no matter where or when you play it, people take notice and become interested in the music playing then....BAM!...they're sold on it. The perfect 'attention getter'. I have played this record many times at work and among friends and have convinced those who've listened to buy this record. You'll love it...BUY THIS RECORD!
