Eastern European Industrial metal,
By Paul Lawrence "'EJL'" (Australia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Eleven Eleven (Audio CD)
While skimming through Metal Hammer magazine at the time of this albums release I read their review about how this album had metal guitars and vocals etc.
Somebody must of made an editing error. On the strength of that review I bought that album and found to my consternation that instead of 'metal' I'd bought industrial. Ooops - thanks Metal Hammer! To me this is rubbish, having little time for industrial metal at all. The entire thing is par for the course, roared and electronically treated vocals, wall of noise sound while still managing to have reasonable production values. For enthusiasts of this stuff it's probably not bad, a touch of difference coming from the fact that these guys were apparently from Slovenia. Anyway, be warned as to what genre of metal this album actually is, for my tastes this is only a one star album as it's just not quite visceral enough to get my jaded attention. |
