Book Description

REVIEWS:
"Loved the story. Could not put it down. A great mix of romance and mystery. Ms. Lindy adequately describes the emotions of her characters and takes the reader on an unbelievable adventure. This begs for a sequel. I want more from this author." -- Francine Fuqua, author.

"I just finished reading this book last night - could not believe a book would bring me to tears like this one did - I am hoping the sequel comes out soon as I want to see what happens next - and of course I have been putting my own "spins" on how the next book plays out - thanks so much for keeping me glued to my Kindle." -- Sue
BOOK DESCRIPTION:
After the death of her beloved cousin, Lana Andrews has to get away to be alone, to grieve. She rents a quaint little beach house in Plymouth MA. Little does she know she would meet that one special love, an unexpected love. That one true love is Mike Ramsey, and he's a U.S. Marshal and the beach house owner.

As their love grows, so do their troubles. Someone is stalking Lana, and Mike has to figure out who it is before the stalker gets her. Not only does he have to protect her, he must find the connection between Lana and the stalker before it's too late. They soon find out this man desperately wants Lana, and he'll go through any lengths for that to happen. Mike's team find out how desperate this man is when he starts murdering innocent people.

Being a U.S. Marshal for years, he knows how to protect people. This time was different. This time, the victim is someone he deeply loves. No matter what, he will do what it takes to protect his beautiful Lana. Once he finds out the name of the stalker—he is not so sure he can.

3.0 out of 5 stars Left Wanting November 2, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
There weren't reviews here when I downloaded this book. I wish there was. The plot, characters, and love story was great. Loved the book, that is, until the end. Not a good ending at all. Even though there wasn't a happy ending, the ending left you looking for book 2 and it was left open at the end. There is no mention of a second book. I did really enjoy this book, just hated the way it was left open and without a happy ending.

4.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing ending October 30, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The story was one that kept me reading. I thought the characters were well written. Having said that I was very disappointed in how it ended. There was no closer to the story. Too many unanswered questions. It is a good read, just be prepared to be upset by the ending.

1.0 out of 5 stars Needs to learn the basics February 16, 2014
By Becca
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This author has a poor grasp of grammar and vocabulary. Some examples: "Her and James went," "short temperment," "a feeling of content". If you are going to write a book without learning the basics, then pay someone to proofread. Just because you can self-publish for free, does not mean you should.

To me this book was so unrealistic. How could you meet someone and in two days declare love and wanting to spend the rest of your life with them. This writer lives in la la land. Also they go to sleep in one house and wake up the next morning in another to walk the beach. I don't think anyone proof read this book because there was a lot of mistakes.

I don't know how this book ever got published. It is poorly written and the story line is ridiculous. And there isn't an ending!

2.0 out of 5 stars The writing style was not my favorite February 15, 2014
By Jen R
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Eleven Days was a strange read for me. The writing style was...I am not sure. For the first couple of chapters I couldn't help but read it in the Twilight Zone voice over voice. "Take the case of Lana Andrews. She was this, she did that, she is doing this." I don't know why, but I couldn't help but feel like it was a very rigid narrator voicing what is going on. So it was an odd read.

Then the dialogue and thoughts and such I was just like what is going on? This is not how people speak, and who thinks this? Lana was just so....are there actually real people who are like her? Like the time when she is driving in the car with Mike and she decides to tell him she doesn't like seafood, even though she knows he does. It was like this whole big deal thing, and then once she told him she was all I shouldn't have done that! What did I do? I should have just kept my mouth shut. I mean why tell the guy who I am supposedly in love with my likes and dislikes? He doesn't need to know.

"She regretted telling him about her dislikes, she was afraid he might go someplace different just for her."

Yes, because that would be horrible if he went somewhere where she could eat something she likes as well...what a rough life. On that matter whenever food came up again it was like well she doesn't like Seafood so she must want chicken. Like it is the only other option if you don't eat seafood. It was just strange.

There were many strange scenes in the book. There was a moment when Lana was sarcastic, and then immediately regretted joking around with him. I mean "it was inappropriate of her to utter any words of negativity." Okay, well then I guess I am inappropriate all the time since I love sarcasm.

1.0 out of 5 stars ELEVEN DAYS An Unexpected Love April 17, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have a difficult time giving this book even one star. It was a slow go getting into it. After it finally became interesting it went pretty quickly. It was a very sweet romance. However the ending was terrible. I am not into soap operas and certainly would not consider reading the sequel after the heroine has died. To make bad matters worse they did not catch the murderer. I read for pleasure and not to become saddened. Even though this book was quite inexpensive it was a waste of my time and energy which are quite valuable to me. I understand that the story could be true to life but I can pick up the newspaper if I want to be saddened and depressed. I often read books that are in a series but each book should be complete in itself.

2.0 out of 5 stars This one should come with a warning February 24, 2014
By Cassie
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The writing was basic at best. The over use of character names and then pet names was annoying. I rarely don't finish a book and this was no exception. I shouldn't have made myself finish it. Lana dies at the end. Really?? UGH should have said NO HEA and I wouldn't have wasted my time. If I wanted to be sad or depressed I would have read the paper or watched the news.

More About the Author

Lora Lindy is an Amazon best seller in crime fiction. She enjoys writing about the places she loves. The Days Trilogy came about after a vacation in Cape Cod. One evening she took a walk along the beach when she encountered a stranger. As he got closer she imagined him a stalker. Of course he wasn't, but she thought it would make a great story. If you like a romantic thriller with hunky federal agents and a damsel-in-distress, this is the trilogy for you.
