Thoughtfully written and playfully illustrated, this almost-miniature book is chock-full of wisdom (elfin wisdom) for approaching depression with gentle understanding, practical mindset changes, and love for self and others. There are 36 tidbits in all, each presented on the left-hand page with delightful ink drawings on each right-hand page. There is nothing clinical or preachy about this book--just helpful reminders that there ARE things we can do to "treat and defeat" depression. My grandmother passed this book down to me, and it's truly a wonderful addition to my library.

This book will remind you that even elves can get depressed. The illustrations are cute and the book's "be yourself" message is truly cheering.
