5.0 out of 5 stars Elfangor's Secret --- second best of all four Megamorphs
I thought Megamorphs #3: Elfangor's Secret was very well planned out by the author, and it is also well-written though it's very confusing. I thought Visser Four was very well- decribed. I just wonder: In Elfangor's Secret, meeting a new visser was a big thing for the Animorphs, and in #46 The Deception, when they meet Visser Two, it isn't a major thing nor is it well-...

3.0 out of 5 stars sort of a kids version of lensmen or null-A?
These are an entertaining series of books for kids.
This one is about going into the past and making sure
it is different in a bad way.
The five friends and their alien friend go into the past
in several places: Henry V fights the French, Washington crosses the Deleware,
Lord Nelson fights the French fleet at Trafalgar, Einstein at Princeton...

5.0 out of 5 stars Elfangor's Secret --- second best of all four Megamorphs, November 1, 2000
This review is from: Elfangor's Secret (Megamorphs #3) (Paperback)
I thought Megamorphs #3: Elfangor's Secret was very well planned out by the author, and it is also well-written though it's very confusing. I thought Visser Four was very well- decribed. I just wonder: In Elfangor's Secret, meeting a new visser was a big thing for the Animorphs, and in #46 The Deception, when they meet Visser Two, it isn't a major thing nor is it well- decribed. But when we meet Visser Four, it's far more exciting then when we finally meet Visser Two. The book itself revolves around the discovery of the Time Matrix, a dangerous device that can alter time. It is capable of destroying everything the Animorphs have ever known. So when the Animorphs journey through time to go after Visser Four from using the Matrix to alter time , strange things are happening. History is being altered by the visser, and the Animorphs are in a race against time to stop him. But their stopping Visser Two comes with a deadly price....

5.0 out of 5 stars Very excellent and well thought-out., September 1, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Elfangor's Secret (Megamorphs #3) (Paperback)
It had to be probably one of the best Megamorphs yet. It certainly kept my interest going. It brought back the Time Matrix from The Andalite Chronicles and because of that the Animorphs were sent through time! I really felt sorry for Jake for what happened to him, and I loved it when Rachel and Tobias (sorry, but you have got to read it to find out). The story started out confusing, but later on it explains itself and then the true excitment begins. I also liked that the story goes through many different time periods, which really taught me a thing or two. It was good that the book could be educational, because now parents can't tell their kids that reading these types of books are bad and that they shouldn't read them anymore. I just hope that the series has more surprises in the future as it did in here.

I thought that this book was great! The Animorphs find out that Visser Four has found the Time Matrix and is trying to change history so Earth can be easier to conquer. The Animorphs follow Visser Four through time and try to stop him. Read it to find out what happens.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book is Awsome!, March 5, 1999

This review is from: Elfangor's Secret (Megamorphs #3) (Paperback)
Here is the Animorphs Web Page's Summary:

It's a battle across time.

Someone has found the Time Matrix. Unfortunately, he is a human-Controller named Henry. Even worse, until a recent demotion, Henry was known as Visser Four.

With the Time Matrix, Henry has his big change to regain power: He'll alter history and win Earth for the Yeerks. Not knowing too much about human history, Henry lands in the middle of what humans refer to as "World War II." With the Ellimist's help, the Animorphs must travel back in time to stop Henry before it's too late. But in the process, an Animorph must die...

This book is supposed to be awsome. I suspect that K. A. did a good job on this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fun ride!, September 6, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Elfangor's Secret (Megamorphs #3) (Paperback)
This one's the best Megamorphs so far, I agree. The start is really clever, if I was a bit confused. The Droid is one of my favourite characters! All the history and alternate-universe structure of the plot, plus the time-travel angle, are the kewlest as far as I've seen, and it put a twist to things as well. A fun ride. Jump in!

4.0 out of 5 stars Megamorphs #3, August 14, 2000
This review is from: Elfangor's Secret (Megamorphs #3) (Paperback)
I thought the begining of this book was very intresting, showing a different way the Animorphs could have been. I think the 'Melissa' mentioned was Melissa Chapman,I wonder how she got into the Animorphs? Well, anyway this book had a great start and some good scenes at the Battle of Agincourt, I liked the bit with Tobias in the church. But then the book sort of went downhill with battle after battle. It seemed to just be the same old thing, and a lot of the information was hard to take in all at once for example where all the Animorphs were. The ending improves this book which I thought was a clever solution to the problem, so Jake didn't 'come back to life', he was never dead. It was pretty enjoyable, fast-moving with plenty of action. Still, it wasn't the best Megamorphs. I prefer #1 or #2. Its got a nice cover, though Tobias looks wrong. Get this if you're an Animorphs fan.

3.0 out of 5 stars sort of a kids version of lensmen or null-A?, September 14, 2009
By
This review is from: Elfangor's Secret (Megamorphs #3) (Paperback)
These are an entertaining series of books for kids.
This one is about going into the past and making sure
it is different in a bad way.
The five friends and their alien friend go into the past
in several places: Henry V fights the French, Washington crosses the Deleware,
Lord Nelson fights the French fleet at Trafalgar, Einstein at Princeton
and finally D day.
The controlled Visser Four uses the Time matrix
to go back and change the past:
friends find out because they experience what their
present is like as a result of his changes:
slavery, and political intolerance.
By two super-beings ( like the Q in Star Trek)
they get the chance to defeat the Visser Four
controlled human John Berryman.
The result is a story with a lot of action and changing scenes.
Some history may be learned by the reader?
i kind of liked the book, but dislike the series.

This book stinks. It's really booooorrrrrrrrrrrring. Everytime I picked it up I read for like 1 minute and then I put it down. If you buy this book it wouldn't be exciting.
