Quinn is an award winning author who lives in beautiful Western Arkansas with her husband, two sons, Nora the Doberman, and Phoebe the Cat (who thinks she is a ninja in disguise). She is the author of 14 novels, including the USA Today bestseller, Fate and Fury. Quinn is beyond thankful that she has been blessed to be able to write full time and hopes the readers know how much all of their support means to her. Some of her hobbies include reading, exercising, crochet, and spending time with family and friends. She gives all credit of her success to God because he gave her the creative spirit and vivid imagination it takes to write.
Possible spoilers: I am a huge Quinn Loftis fan and absolutely love her Grey Wolves Series. When I found out she was writing a a new series, Elfin, I was so excited. Needles to say, she did not disappoint her readers, and true-to-form, she has yet written another book that will knock your socks off. I absolutely loved the characters in Elfin. Trik, well just picture Legolas from Lord of the Rings, Trik is even hotter, he's a bad boy, or I guess I should say bad elf, which makes him even more desirable, and his cocky attitude just completes the package. I loved Cassie to. She has a pure heart, and loves deeply, which also causes her to hurt deeply, but she has attitude to, and she is going to be quite the heroine in this series. There are several secondary characters which were great and I look forward to getting to know them more as the series continues. My favorite is Elora, Cassie's best friend. If you have read Quinn's Grey Wolves Series, the Elora will remind you a lot of Jen, only with a Gothic style. She is snarky, self-confident, tough, says what she means, and means what she says. I just loved her. I can't wait to see where Quinn takes Elora in this series, and I have an idea about who she might get together with, but we'll have to wait and see how that plays out. The love interest.....Cassie and Trik's relationship will melt your heart, cause you to swoon, and then fan your face a little to. I mean Trik has got it going on. The story flows beautifully and the plot is intriguing and fresh. Elfin is filled with action, adventure, fantasy, sizzling romance, danger, and humor. My attention was captured from beginning to end and I can't wait to see what is coming next in this series. If you are looking for a fantastic read, then this is one book you will want to check out. I loved it.
This book was released today and I have already read the entire thing. Twice! The Grey Wolf Series by Quinn Loftis are great books so I was excited to hear about Elfin. Quinn has done it again. The character's are well developed with a hint of mystery behind them. The relationships develop with passion and realistic behaviors. The story grabs you and does not release you until the final page when you start searching for more. BUY A COPY!!! You will not regret it :)

I wanted to enjoy this, I really did. I love teen paranormal romance. But the first few chapters were so riddled with spelling errors, grammatical blunders, and punctuation mistakes that I found myself wondering if the author was still in Middle School.
Combine those problems with the clunky writing style, and this was frankly unreadable, despite the enjoyable premise.
Here's an example of the limited vocabulary that makes some passages, well, laughable:
"It would do him good to surround himself with some good old-fashioned greed...It was a good way for the elves to..."
Interesting premise, but the writing just needs a lot more polish to make the work enjoyable.
I don't often leave reviews for books I read, but in this case I felt that one was needed. First off I want to start by saying that the first few chapters were amazing, I immediately fell in love with the main characters. But as the story progress, I felt it was forced and quite childish at times. And yes I understand this is a fictional story, BUT I also like to believe in the story. This book, was believable at first and then it seems the main character Trik had way to much going on, it was to much on the already dwindling story. This book had amazing potential and could have been so much more, and this is why I give it 3 stars.

I am so embarrassed that I bought this book. It is badly written, badly edited, and badly outlined. There is the potential for a decent story here and some characters with promise but Oh Dear God - when vial is spelled "vile" and haul is spelled as "hall" you just know that its going to get worse. The lead female character ranges from shy, innocent, shining with goodness who has no idea just how beautiful she is (come ON ladies, how many females do you know who have no idea of what they look like or what their impact is on the opposite sex??? Zero right?) To the pole dancing drugged out potential lap dancer looking for revenge. I mean this is the best the evil king can do? Drug the girl up and twirl her around? Oh the horror! But the ending, the ending is just the worse - everything goes completely off the rails. The focus, the characters the intensity, logic of some kind. Characters just pop up (And by the way how is it that a race of insanely beautiful elves just fall off the turnip truck over the drugged out human??? Presumably the weaker, lesser race...sigh.... I understand the whole Chosen thing but when some Tom, Puck, or Elvish just decides that He Must Have You!...why? Just when the story should be building to a crescendo it just dies and lies there like a sad sad piece of noodle. Which is how I felt when I realized that 2.99 just went down the tubes...... Save Your Money - I'll send you my copy.
I was fooled by the large number of positive reviews. This book is pretty awful. The dialog would be at home on the cheesiest disney-channel show. The characters are flat and not that engaging. There are huge problems with the fantasy world-building...beyond the expected problems in a young adult book. The plot did move forward but it limped and lurched like something near death.
The book makes the assertion that humans who see the elves in their true form are killed. By the time this actually happened I was initially delighted because I wanted to see each and every character from the mundane foil to the moronic protagonist die horribly over the next several pages. Alas, the book failed to deliver.
