Great Elgar Rarities, February 9, 2009

The star attraction of this set is the piano concerto, which is sparkling and sounds typically Elgar. The other works are less substantial and of greatest interest to Elgar completists, who are unlikely to have most or any of these works on other recordings. However, the piano concerto alone justifies obtaining this recording. The sound quality is fine.
