If you have worn Goddess bras your whole life, like me, and couldn't find a replacement until now-- this is it. I even heard that the cutter from Goddess changed to this company.
I have a very small band size (32/34) and huge breasts-- I could never find a bra that fit much less supported me while active. Some woman at a bra shop actually asked me, "What do you like about the no-stretch straps?" Ummmm-- they don't stretch! This bra is for those of us who need to run around, jump, climb and not flop all over the place-- this is REAL support. Yes the style is pointy, yes the straps are wide and you're not going to wear this with some skimpy top (not that those of us this size could ever find a skimpy top to fit us!) This is a supportive bra with a size range to fit those of us who need it.
    THANK YOU ELILA JACQUARD!
PS-- If you are going by your old Goddess size, you will need to go up in the band size and the cup size-- their sizing is different. I ordered one, sent it back and then got the correct size. Good luck to all busty ladies you out there!

For women with fuller busts, this bra is great...but only for a little while. The company recently switched to metal clasps on all except the black to hold the straps because they were getting too many complaints about the plastic ones breaking...which happened to me at work. There really isn't a risk of the metal ones breaking, but the straps have a tendency to slide through the clasps just after wearing it a few times. Your strap won't break, but you won't feel secure when your breasts are inching down with every little movement you make. Until they find a better clasp I will have to look elsewhere for support.

I've had this bra for a year now and am looking to order a replacement. I was very pleased with how well it fit my chest and the support it offered...especially after ordering online without having tried it on in a store. I agree with the poster that commented about the strap cushions not staying put and sliding around. At times the loose end of the strap will work its way out of the cup also and is annoying. My main complaint about this bra, however, is the metal clasp on the strap. It tends to dig into my right shoulder (which is my heavier side) and then the strap slips and falls off my shoulder at times. Maybe it digs in bc I have it adjusted too tightly for the weight it is supporting?? Overall though, it really is a good bra. Also 37 years old, it seems very old-ladyish, but gives me the support I haven't found in other bras my size (46H)

I purchased this bra after reading many reviews. I will say a few things:
    1) Yes, very sturdy. Not stretchy at all which is a good thing.
    2) Fabric is scratchy and left me raw in spots. I found after a few washes this improved.
    3) I'm relatively young and it reminded me of a very old-fashioned shape bra. It seems to separate a bit too much and points slightly outward rather than straight forward.
    4) Nothing sexy about this bra... I actually feel unattractive and about 80yrs old when I look in the mirror. I'm only 37!
    5) Just really dislike the shape it's giving me.
    6) I agree with sizing... order up a tiny bit. I'm like a 38 band and the 40 was perfect. I tried to measure the cup size carefully but that wound up a bit big and had to re-order.
    7) For those of us who need larger sized cups at least it's an option but it could be a lot better!

I decided to try this bra based on my own research indicating it was one of the best wire-free bras available. I work at home and was looking for a less expensive option than my go-to bra (Elomi Energise). Although the Elila is expensive, too, the price here was reasonable so I decided to give it a try.

The support is good. It definitely reminds me of bras that my grandma would wear with that odd, pointy shape that it squashes your boobs into. However, this is a wire-free bra so I knew that would be the case going into it. Since I was just getting it primarily to wear around the house, I was not that concerned.

I could not get past the itchy, unpleasant feel of the fabric. I would have returned, but I had already removed the tags and washed it since that usually helps to soften the fabric. I'm sure if I wore it more frequently it would soften, but it felt like torture to me so I haven't been able to do that. However, I am extremely sensitive to the feel of the fabric. I have Glamorise bras as well and while they are itchy to start out as well, I think they are more comfortable in general (and a more reasonable price).

But, again, the support was good. If you are looking for a wire-free bra that is very supportive and don't mind the shape that this gives you and are okay with breaking in the itchy, firm fabric, then I think you would be happy with this product. For me, I will be investing in the Elomi Energise bra which does have a wire, but is ridiculously comfortable, flexes with me, and has a nice, smooth fabric that is not itchy.

The Elila 1305 bra has been my bra of choice for about ten years. Not only is it a great fit and made of a durable fabric, the price is the most reasonable among plus size bras. In this brand I wear a 48M and compared to the previous brand I wore which was 42L. So, the fit of the Elila is generally smaller in the band and cup sizes. So, if you decide to try this one expect to adjust your size choice accordingly. In some the the lesser rated reviews there is a common complaint about the straps not staying in place in the clasps. There is a simple fix for this and that is to first find the best adjustment fit then sew the two parts of the strap together above the top of the clasp. And, the shoulder padding on the strap can also be sewn into place. Once this is accomplished the bra should last for years to come, even through machine washing and drying.
