This Book Has Power!, January 29, 2007
This review is from: Elisha's Jars: Enjoying Abundance and Prosperity When Life Seems Limited (Paperback)
Father Paul Keenan has surpassed himself this time. Using the Old Testament story found in 2 Kings 4 1-7, about the widow and the Prophet Elisha, Father Keenan uses these characters to provide us with a life affirming positive lesson.
That lesson centers around abundance and prosperity. Father Paul initially points to our human failures as far as having limited outlooks and how we usually expect the worse and fail to appreciate life's available options. Using the widow's dire predicament as an analogy to our own personal crisis situations, Father Paul shows the way to cope through our troubles and live abundantly via an improved relationship with a loving and giving God. The book's message is simple yet powerful. Whether just for yourself or as a gift to a troubled friend, buying Elisha's Jars is a powerful small investment which will pay enormous dividends if we heed its lesson. Thank you Father Paul for showing us the way to finding our own personal jars and filling them too!

Little Story---Colossal Message, November 24, 2006
This review is from: Elisha's Jars: Enjoying Abundance and Prosperity When Life Seems Limited (Paperback)
Who would have thought you could get so much meaning out of a little story about an out-of-luck widow? Father Paul Keenan breaks this little story down into seven even littler parts, cleverly and clearly turning the tale into something immediately relevant and engagingly inspirational.
A quick reading of the story (from the second book of Kings in the bible) left me scratching my head. Just another bible story about a miracle, I thought. What's the big deal? But in breaking it down into "bite size" pieces and peppering his narrative with real life examples, Father Paul opened my eyes to the meaning. What seemed to be a story about a widow asking for help became a story about how we can help ourselves by knowing ourselves, being honest with ourselves and interacting with others fairly and with compassion. Just a little story--but what a colossal message! I could go on, but will take advice from Chapter IX and "know when to stop"....

Let Father Paul's words deeply touch your heart, December 17, 2008
This review is from: Elisha's Jars: Enjoying Abundance and Prosperity When Life Seems Limited (Paperback)
First, a disclosure. Father Paul Keenan is a dear friend of mine who passed away on June 10, 2008. He is truly one of the most open-hearted, kindest souls I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. When I was just a struggling author with a new book called GRACES, he invited me to appear on his two radio programs, "As You Think" and the national ABC radio program, "Religion on the Line." He said my book GRACES had a "grassroots freshness" and that he was tired of the "same old prayers." Father Paul is refreshingly honest. Back in 1994, he mentioned that he did a little writing on the side. I said I would love to look at his writing. I was so deeply moved by his heart and his thoughts as well as the excellent quality of his writing that I introduced Father Paul to my literary agent, Denise Marcil. Father Paul's first book was GOOD NEWS FOR BAD DAYS, followed up by many other books. I highly recommend that you buy all of them. His dearest friend, Susan Zappo, is seeing that all of his royalties are going to good causes. She has also given her loving home to Father Paul's two cats. Father Paul was a huge lover of animals--and people, of course! Please visit his website, www.FatherPaul.com to capture a little essence of Father Paul's spirit. We lost a truly great man, a truly great priest, and I lost a truly great friend. Please buy this book and help his inspiring words continue to live on. Thank you.
