Confusing Narrative with Minimal Eroticism, December 10, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Eliska (Mass Market Paperback)
The book starts out with an interesting technique, a series of letters from a visiting Count (in the hinterlands of the empire) to his nephew back at the "Court". This literary "trick" could have reulted in a substantially interesting story had the Count actually been involved more in the activities. This was otherwise just a narrative of an observer with little real erotic detail. For those who, on the other hand, are primarily interested in scenes of flagellation, etc. this book is definitely for you. If you are interested in more plot, some character development, erotic descriptions of sexual scenes, then go elsewhere.
